Astros resist the Yankees and go to the Fall Classic. Will we get another epic series like last year, or will the Dodgers continue to power their way though post-season?

The Dodgers does has home advantage, which seemed pretty important in the AL championship series for the Astros.

 

Dodgers has such depth as well, but I will root for the Astros.  Houston Strong does make for a good story like Boston Strong in 2013.  Their offence need to do better than they did against the Yankees away from home.

This is a wild game. Dodgers lead, give it up late, Astros score two in the 10th and the Dodgers match it in the bottom of the tenth and we go to eleven innings!

With one out left, Dodgers make it a one run game. This is a record-breaking World Series game, with 8 HRs hit in the game.

I wish I could stay up to watch the end, but that's pretty much impossible on a weekday with a west coast game.

Looking forward to staying up late for at least one game this weekend.  Pulling for the astros, they have basically cancelled out dodger's home advantage now.  They might drop one at home, this one might go the distance.

Darvish versus McCullers on Friday night. Darvish has been excellent in the post-season so far and dominated the Astros when he was at the Rangers. Should be a great game!

Gurriel's gestures made supporting the Astros slightly harder last night and deserves the suspension from MLB next season.  Personally, I think the Astros themselves should suspend him for at least a game without pay in this series as well.  Yu Darvish's statement after the game is class thought.

That's what a punishment is supposed to do, he let down his teammates!

Agreed on both counts, and it's a lot easier to like the Dodgers after that.

 

The prevailing thinking is he'd just appeal it and it would therefore take longer than the duration of the WS to hear his appeal (so he'd end up playing anyway).

 

MLB tried to get round that, I think. It sucks, but there you go.

Yep, with 22 HRs it's a record World Series. And we might have two more games!

So it's Game 7 as I kinda predicted before .  I haven't been pulling for the Dodgers but In a way I do want Darvish has a good game and win this one now.

Yeah, he’s carried himself with a certain grace, wouldn’t be upset if he got a World Series win. Plus the Cubs could say they lost to the eventual winners.

 

Prediction for the final score? Going 8-4 Dodgers.

Suffice it to say Darvish hasn't done that. Astros have gotten after him and the game is very much in their hands.

Feel like the Dodgers let a good opportunity go in the 6th. They need the Astros bullpen to feel some pressure.

Hate to bump the topic for this - Roy Halladay passed away at the age of 40 yesterday.

 

He was a bit of a hero up here in Toronto. During the 2000s the Jays were a very poor team and he was the lone shining light and the reason you'd go and watch a game. Unhittable at his best. Probably the best pitcher I've ever seen in person.

I am another one who love baseball since my trip to America. I have seen 10 baseball games so far.

I have also seen Philadelphia Phillies stadium but didn't go to a game there. I watched Eagles V Browns in NFL and Union V Montreal Impact in MLS during my 4 nights stay in Philadelphia. 

My team is Cleveland Indians and also love San Francisco Giants as well. I have been following them both on MLB TV.

I dislike LA Dodgers and Chicago Cubs. 

Next year I will do a trip to Chicago, Milwaukee and Boston so this means a trip to Red Sox, Cubs and Brewers (They are playing Giants in 3 games series)  and possibly Cleveland again (Not sure)
