well exactly. I'll be keeping the "good stuff" that I've completed, and the stuff that I'm kinda sorta still playing at the moment in drib and drabs.

That list just represents the very bottom of my 360 barrel.

(I'm keeping the sequels to some of the games listed, even though I'll not be going back to play them any time soon. Shit! I'm a bad person, they're gone as well! Fuck it!)

If it helps I did a really big cull of games I just don't play anymore or haven't put any time into and came away with a 3G Vita after trading them in this lunch time at Game Station.

So I would say go for it and if you do miss any games you can always pick them up again, but this is the second time I have done a big cull and I can say hand on heart I haven't re-bought any of the games I traded in first time.

I got £8.40 for KOFXIII, price fact fans.

So on top of the 23 quid I got the other day for trading in some old tat, I took another 12 games in today. They refused three as they are scratched, which is fair enough. Got 106 quid for the remaining 9. Nipped into HMV and bought 6 games for 13 quid. Took those in and got a further 29 quid (!). Stumped up 40 odd quid and got a brand new 250GB 360 to replace the creaky on-its-last-legs knackered-drive model at home. Result.

There was another bloke in there with two giant carrier bags of games. It all feels a bit mental.

I did rebuy Bioshock using the credit I got, because I want to have the full set of three on XBox when Infinite comes out. And I got rid of Binary Domain on PS3 because it crashed my console, and replaced it with the XBox version.

Other than that, I've never rebought any game I've cleared out. So JUST DO IT. And such.

Pretty much all my games of any value went towards my Vita at launch which I got from HMV and the few I had left went towards ME3 collectors edition.

SO I dug out the remaining tat and got to 9 games. Gamestation took 6 of them, 2 were apparently badly scracthed (no, all of them were) and one had "not be be re-sold" on the back - QOS on 360.

I only got about £40, but they were old games from years ago.

Cex and Thats Entertainment in Cardiff have been totally emptied of cheap crap. CEX had nothing on the 360 under £5/6 - no old sports titles to be seen. Thats Entertainment had a few things for £3/4 and 1 copy of Fifa 2007 for a £1 which I picked up as I had 2 other games I wanted to trade.

Cash Convertors had loads of Brain Training and More Brain Training for £5 each and they are trading for around a £10 if anyone's looking to half the price of something in Game.

I'm now 18 titles for £120 - all sitting on gift cards at present. Might have 3 more games to take in before Wed

Girl[1] I spoke to in Game (Norwich) yesterday was lovely. Chatted about Skyrim, no hard sell, asked if I was excited about the Kinect support for Skyrim (um, no), said about the trade-in deal being amazing and normally they'd give you 50p at most for FIFA 11 or older, very apologetic about no copies of Kid Icarus in, generally awesome.

Much more pleasant than they used to be. More like this please.

Shame they still had virtually no stock of anything that wasn't 5-year-old crap or Mass Effect 3 though.

Similar experience here - the last time I remember going to Game, I was rather fucked off at the upselling and forced scripted nonsense, but when trading stuff in this week and going back a couple of times to check for more stock coming in (I've had 7 PS3 games out of them so far this week but no Dark Souls or Valkyria Chronicles :(), the service I've had and seen people in front of me getting has been much better.

I have identified 51 games that I. Will. Not. Miss.

the big problem of finding the cases will be addressed today and tomorrow, and I'll report back with my findings.

If I go through with it.

There's a certain amount of trepidation, an attachment, nostalgia even.

Does anyone want to talk me into keeping some of the games on here?

(and yes, some of them are still on my list of shame)

You'll get £250 for that lot at the very minimum. You'll never go back to sports titles, you are unlikely to go back to any of those you've finished and there isn't time to play through ones you haven't played with so much beter stuff out or coming out.

Do it!!!!

After Wed - a lot of those games won't be worth more than a £1 ever again (until new Game go into Admin and new new Game do this again).

I'm gutted that a few weeks ago before moving house I binned the cases for a couple of old Fifas and The Darkness (which I got in Game for £2, but is trading at £9) as they were worthless.

This is amazing. I have never heard of a game doing this before.

The time line goes thus:

- Buy Binary Domain on PS3 (£15)

- Start Binary Domain, game tries mandatory installing, crashed in mid-70%s

- Restart, game tries mandatory installing again, crashed in mid-80%s

- Restart, game tries mandatory installing again, succeeds (woo)

- Play game for a bit, no problems

- Note that XBox version is back to £15 too, and that Game are running randomly generous offer

- Decide to do the switcheroo, in fear that issue may resurface for some reason

Haven't had any problems with any other PS3 games, just Binary Domain. But anyway. So I now have the game I quite like in a format that doesn't (for some reason) disagree with my consoles, and thanks to generous trade-in prices am actually £10 up on before the format switch. Woo, Game.

Where do people have all the space for keeping shit games? It would do my nut in having Perfect Dark Zero hanging around the house for 7 years.

I've still got it in the shrink wrap from launch... never got around to playing it

Took in the remainder of my stuff today which I wanted to get rid of and had a chat with the manager, very pleasant fella and was open to chatting about things. Basically said everything was back to normal for them, that once EA jumped back onboard everyone else did so they'd be getting all of the new releases (he even mentioned they had already got in Prototype 2 and it was in the stockroom). I never actually asked why they were doing the offer they were doing but I guess he probably doesn't know either. I bought some PSN and XBLA credit from them and said how it was much handier just getting the code on a receipt rather than bloody boxes and he said how he was surprised not many other retailers do that. Come to think of it I can't think of anywhere else on the high street where you can just get voucher codes printed out. I joked how it's a shame that they don't sell Steam vouchers/credit codes either and only half listening (early mornings I don't do well), I could have sworn I heard him say something about selling steam game vouchers and credit codes in the future. I think that's just wishful thinking on my part though!
