Bowser, a couple of those prices seem a little short on what I was offered...wonder if they have started to drop the prices as suggested ealrier in the thread?

I got:

Disaster Day of Crisis - £13.40

Brain Training - £11.40

More Brain Traininig - £13.40

Big Brain Academy - £13.40

Its still a massive profit over what you can pick them up for.. but every pound counts! :)

Am I right in thinking you traded in 17 games there? One more and you'd have hit an extra tenner.

Missed off a PS3 game, The Club, bought from CEX for £2. Was definitely multiples of 3, dude serving me pointed out I'd be better keeping stuff back if it wasn't in 3s. Which reminds me they offered the £4.40 for MegaMan ZX, but I kept that back as that's the only one that is worth something.

Yeah U-1, I went yesterday afternoon and I think that's the discrepancy in the prices I received where inline with the warning they'd dropped prices by a little.

Was also a pleasant surprise to see they gave a couple of quid on a loyalty points card purely for trading in, that's a new thing to me, I thought you only got points for spending cash.

Where do people have all the space for keeping shit games? It would do my nut in having Perfect Dark Zero hanging around the house for 7 years.

I haven't got rid of a game since 1994. And that was World of Illusion.

Explains the link in my sig...

This is still on then? I'm going up the city tonight so might try the That's Entertainshite -> Game "trick".

Quick question do Gamestation price match games?, saw Mario 3D but it was for a stonking £40 compared to Argos locally which was £30.

Im pretty sure they do.. everytime Ive been in there lately they have banged on about how they "wont be beaten on price".. Time to hold them too it I think.

Spoke with a Game customer services and after a bit of explaining they looked into my problem and confirmed what I suspected all along, that they only added the extra £10 to the first 3 games. All I have to do now is pop back to the shop and they'll rectify the mistake. All this could have been avoided if they hadn't fobbed me off yesterday but, oh well.

Just called them after finding the number and they won't price match.

So went and made a trip to the Bournemouth branch and got 120 something for my games some of the prices they offered were well above what I assumed. I also thought that I could use the game reward card at gamestation since they were owned by the same company and told I couldn't.

So this probably been mentioned in but can I use the points online game site.

While I feel pretty chuffed with the amount the prices of the games are really high?. £40 for Mario 3d is insane like I mentioned.

Yeah its defintiely a factor to consider when spending your credit.. think we will just have to accept paying atleast £5 over the odds for most things (new releases etc). Suppose thats why most have gone down the MS/PSN Credit route.

i dont often trade stuff in, but this seemed a good way to get rid of a bunch of stuff i'll never play again. went in with 18 games, and out with £150 worth of psn money. i didnt realise there is a wallett limit of 100 though. so i'll have to get the final bit on later. presumably they dont expire. if disgaea was up this week i could have used a bit already.

i'll not bore you with lists, but the highlight has to be uncharted platinum version, £13.40. i only paid 15 for it, must be over a year ago.

Are they taking nonsense like You're In The Movies and Truth Or Lies?

Absolutely. You could even raid pound shops and the like for fine titles such as Allen Carr's Stop Smoking for the DS, and still turn a profit.

Went and jacked in about 20 games that I haven't played in ages on Tuesday, and got around £120. As I was aiming for a Vita, I went and raided what was left of CEX and similar ilk for about £30 worth of additional games to turn £60 more credit, only to get bored of running around Brighton and ended up whacking the rest on the credit card. in all, about £110 and a load of games that haven't been played for the last year at the very least for the Vita/4GB Card/Uncharted bundle.

I'm tempted to raid the local town's blockbuster as they're doing two for one deals on £1.99 Pro Evo and Fifa, but I'm going to have to check the initial damage first. I could do with some PSN credit, to be honest.

Thanks, had the same experience. Pleasantly surprised at the decent, non harassing and genuinely enthusiastic customer service I received instore. The store I went to (Manchester Arndale Gamestation) has a decent enough rep on here I think but it was impressed with them, miles better than the last few times I'd been in nearby GAME stores..

Yep, they've always been good in there. Glad it was the one to stay open!

"Fixing" the multichain thing would be an accounting nightmare unfortunately. Not an insurmountable one but much, much harder than just saying "Oh they're the same business unit now". Plus the whole point of having 2 brands is to give the illusion of competition, the vast majority of people don't know they're the same company and they don't really want them to know.

Your other two things should have happened a very, very long time ago.
