Waste of a journey today....

Went in with 12 games and was got a quote of £106 which is amazing, however, they couldn't give me credit since they ran out of membership cards and was told I have to spend it all at once today. So I had to walk back home with the games since I couldn't find anything to spend it on at all.

Going in with 36 Wii games and 12 DS games tomorrow, can't decide whether to put that towards a 360 or PS3.

I don't really care much about FPSing on them (prefer pointer controls for that genre now) which sort of takes care of my hate for the deadzone on PSEverything sticks, and the potential for an RROD pain in the arse and non-free online makes me go a bit eeeeeh on the 360.

Feck, could get a 3DS or Vita instead - has the next Monster Hunter which will end up on these shores with proper online been confirmed for anything yet?

Weirdly, they had about 100 copies of Singstar Take That on PS2 taking up two entire racks. I got Dance Central 2 and Enslaved instead.

I saw this in Kingston today too. *stalks*

Got 23 quid today for Disaster: DoC, Lost Odyssey and Star Ocean, which seems mental.

You can get PSN store credit, it maintains a high value when reselling, e.g £22 for a £25 code. I took in some games today and got amazing prices for them. Don't miss out!

What do they give for this years ganes such as PES 2012 and F1 2011? The older versions seem to have big mark ups so I would assume the new ones do but hardly see any mentions.

They should be in the list in the bargains thread.

My main gripe with this is Game's online prices, all the games are £39.99 in store but £24.99 online a lot of the time and the gift cards can't be used online. Plus Fifa cost me £42 Saturday and now it's £27, nothing i can do about that right? It's unopened?

Got 372 quid credit for my stuff, with EA Sports Active rejected for not having peripherals. Picked up a 160GB PS3 (tried to get a 320GB silver, but they were out of stock) and could barely spend the money on games as they have sod all stock, so just picked up GTAIV, GT5 and Skyrim, leaving me loads on a gift card.

I don't think you can really tell what's going for silly money as there's no separate item on the receipt for the £10 bonuses - they just seem to get lumped into some of the game prices - these were the biggest ones on my receipt:

Wii Fit: £22.40

Super Mario Galaxy 2: £21.40

Super Mario Galaxy: £15.40

Xenoblade Chronicles: £15.40

Wii Sports Resort: £15.40

Wii Sports: £14.70

Metroid Prime Trilogy: £13.40

Twilight Princess: £11.40

DS Cooking Mama: £11.40

DS Nintendogs: £15.40

DS Mario Kart: £19.40

The till will hold 3 separate prices for each game. You'll have a cash price (which is given if you just take cash or if you have stuff missing from the game) then a proper trade in price which is what you would get put on a gift card or if you are trading for something else and then a promotional price which is to be given as part of a.... promotion :) I would say the promo price trade in is the proper trade in price plus 3.30 or so.

Subtract £3.40 from each game to find the non bonus price. They actually give you £10.20 extra per 3 games.

Hmm, half-considering trading in my copy of Mario Kart DS if they're offering 20 quid credit for it. I doubt I'll ever play the game again as the 3DS sequel makes it obsolete, and haven't for years. Then again, I've owned the game since 2005, and have a lot of fond memories attached to it...

:(

VITA get! Traded 29 games and got £299, the guy said he would ring that spare game through as the increased amount anyway, result.

I then got £8 more on my game card with my purchases that day.

most of the good ones mentioned in here already, but weirdest one for me was Burnout Revenge getting me £10.40, the servers have been switched off and everything on that game!

Did you trade the balance board with wii fit? I tried to trade just the game but was refused. I didn't bother trying to trade in wii sports, I figured they would refuse it as it comes with the Wii.

I was asked if I wanted to wait and bring the balance board in as well as it would be worth a lot more in credit, but they rang it through anyway when I declined.

That's more than I got for Paradise on the 360 (£7.40)!

I just traded in 27 games for £246. Then bought a new 360 250GB to replace my ancient 20gig that sounds like a jet), Mass Effect 2 and 3 an a transfer cable for £18. When I offload my old 360 the upgrade will have cost me know money.
