I just got another £20.20 credit for a six quid outlay at That's Entertainment.

Brain Training - £11.40

High School Musical - £4.40

PES 09 - £4.40

If I had the time, I'd compile a list of the trade-in values we've had so far*. It'd be useful knowing what's worth what.

* Hint, hint at those with more time than me... ;)

Went into CEX to see two people scouring the shelves, each holding about 10-15 games.

Put me off in the end.

haha me too. I popped in there before going to GAME to see if it was worth buying a few cheap bits and there was a guy in there with about 30 games. I decided against it.

My first ever Game trade-in:

Metroid Other M - £8.40

Puzzle Bobble Universe - £8.40

42 All-Time Classics - £5.90

Not bad. :) Let's just hope they get some stock in soon to spend the store credit on: it seemed like they had no brand new 3DS games in the branch I visited. The stock drawers behind the cashier counter were barer than the shelves!

A load of mine don't have manuals (that should have them). Wonder if they'll take them, or even check?

They took my PGR3 bundle copy off me with no manual, and Football Manager 2006 scratched to shit and no manual. Also traded ME2, AC 2, Fable 2 and the Darkness and got £47. Picked up The Witcher 2.

That shouldn't be an issue for long.. think most stores have started to get deliveries again. Problem is probably that they have that much stuff to put out and not enough staff to do it! (thats certainly the case in my local). If in doubt just ask them.

I guess the reason why I don't buy shoddy stuff from CEX for trade is because my local GS checks all the manuals and discs. That said, I'm still going to be scraping together some more stuff to add to my store credit pile before this deal runs out.

I think thats wise.. Last thing you want is to be lumbered with stuff they wont accept, even if they have only cost a couple of quid.

I'd have thought that as time goes on they will start to tighten up on the condition of stuff being traded..but then again maybe not!

No, it was specifically in reference to the gift cards. After he credited my trade-ins to the card I asked the assistant if I could use it online, or was it in-store only, to which he replied that I'd be able to use the credit online, but they were just finalising their systems, and it would all be working on Saturday (14 April).

Decided to cash in on this today in Gamestation, they took the PSP games but told me they didn't count towards the extra £10 deal.

So altogether I traded Fallout 3, RE5, Far Cry 2, Mass Effect 2, Gears of War 2, errr...something else, and ghosts n goblins, liberty city stories, and Syphon Filter for the PSP.

Got about £45 for that lot, less than I was expecting given the stratospheric amounts being trumpeted about but still more than I'd usually hope for so it's all good.

Rayman Origins on 360 is trading in for £19.40, which is pretty excellent since it's been selling for £15 everywhere for months. Got £11.40 for Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars and £6.40 for Sega Superstars Tennis.

Weirdly, they had about 100 copies of Singstar Take That on PS2 taking up two entire racks. I got Dance Central 2 and Enslaved instead.

Kingston branch?

I bought £26 of stuff from CEX, got £78 credit for it, going to try and get ticketmaster vouchers with the game credit, therefore getting to go to some over-priced shows at sensible prices!
