Just took my 39 games in and got a nice £230.80 for them all! Some fairly shitty too, so an average of 6 quid each is brilliant. My receipt is about four metres long.

Post it on here

;)

Also how long did it take for the cashier to process? Were they a bit 'fuck that' when you lugged your stash in?

When I went I'm they were completely fine with it. Got another 40 to go on now so we will see how that goes down. This could turn out really well for us of they pick themselves up and start getting decent prices om New games again.

Hah, I had a bit of a joke with her and said sorry in advance. It didn't take too long though, she only checked the first ten or so discs and then assumed the rest were fine (which they were!). I didn't get a duff price on any of them, and with the offer you'll get a minimum of £4.40 each.

Some decent stuff in there though, and only two football games in the whole lot. I'll just never play them.

Credit != cash.

'You' are trading in your games for credit. And the promise may well be kept - I'm sure there is every intention of allowing you to exchange credit for stock. But the point is that GAME is filling its shelves with the help of credit. And some people say they haven't yet seen anything to spend their credit on - you have credit 'worth' £50, £100, £200, but can't / won't spend it.

So it's too soon to suggest GAME is getting a bad deal out of this.

Well, what DO they have in stock then? Genuine question for those who've visited recently. I'm going in next week to trade a few games (from the same lot I bought from their firesale :) ), I'm looking to buy Syndicate, AC Revelations Ottoman Edition, and other 360 games that may pique my interest. Will I be disappointed?

Just got £53 for the following:

8.40 - 42 All Time Classics (DS)

11.40 - Brain Training (DS)

4.40 - Forza 2

4.40 - Perfect Dark Zero

4.40 - Pro Evo 2008

4.40 - PES 09

4.40 - Army of Two (less £1 because the disc had a scratch)

6.40 - Far Cry 2

6.40 - Wolfenstein

30.00 - Trade in deal

Plus, as an added bonus, there was a mystery £8 on the gift card the sales assistant picked up, so they let me have that too. :) So just over sixty quid in all.

PES 09, Forza 2 and Perfect Dark were bought from That's Entertainment a couple of doors away from Game for £6 before I went in. I feel kinda cheap for doing it, but they didn't seem to mind taking them.

The sales assistant in Game told me that the gift cards should be eligible for website purchases from tomorrow.

If the credit can be used online then that is amazing news. I have £250 credit now. I only traded in 18 games today after I left a bag at home. Also picked up a few £2 games from HMV to trade in on Monday.

Skyrim is £25 new on the site so I might use my first chunk of credit on that.

So if you trade in 6 games do you automatically get £20? or is it just a one of bonus of £10?

6 = £20 plus the value of the games themselves. I dropped my reciept but I think each game basically has 3.30 added to it as its value.

Normal

Cool - back I go then once I find something for a £1 from somewhere.

OK, managed to find 12 older PS3/360/Wii/DS games that we no longer have any use for, so I'll be taking those in a bit later on. Hopefully the games themselves will be worth a couple of quid each, then the £40 extra should sweeten the deal. No idea what I'll get with the credit though; it'll probably just have to go on my card. I'd be tempted with a PSVita, but I only recently got a PSP and even if I get £70 overall, that's still a fair ways short of how much I'd need. As has been said above, it's a shame PSP isn't included in the offer or I could have doubled the number of games going in, and then might have been within a stone's throw of a Wifi Vita.

Going to take a walk into GAME today, got about 9 games I could offload, put the credit towards something like Rayman Origins. Added bonus in that there's a CEX a few streets away, so I'll stop by there first to see if there's any dirt cheap titles I can snag.

This new offer by GAME is probably giving the likes of CEX a tremendous amount of business.

You should try Music Magpie.

I don't trust 'em. Sent of some CDs last year, and the most valuable ones "mysteriously" disappeared, i.e. they denied ever receiving them. Despite said CDs being packaged in the same box as the crappy worth-50p ones.

Same thing happened when I used Amazon's game trade-in service, in fact...A single box of games was sent off, yet the most valuable game in the package I was told never arrived. Basically: from my experience, don't trust trade-in services where you have to post off your items.

I've got a shitload of games I've got which I can get rid of but part of me would be a bit dubious. I mean is anyone getting back on board with Game and giving them newer games ? I'd probably want preorders for things like Diablo 3, Max Payne 3 etc and not sure if they'd even get those.

Took in three more games today but, given that they were all shitty sports titles, only got £13.20 in total (which I was told was correct whe I questioned the sales assistant, although yesterday my receipt showed individual trade in prices for each game PLUS the £10 bonus for each multiple of three, whereas this time it just shows £4.40 for each game and no additional £10 - which he said was included in the trade in values of the games). Still £7 more than they cost me though.

Do Game sell iTunes gift cards?

I got £62 for the 12 games I took earlier, which was pretty good, considering they were mostly dreadful tat picked up either years ago, or for <£3 during the local Gamestation's closing down sale. Might see if I can sell the gift card I bought for £50 on here.
