took in 9 terribad old games which they offered me £49 for up from the £19 offered.

Asked for MS points, they can't print them from the till no longer, they only had 2 packaged ones in stock, so i took those and got £14 on a card, which i'll try and spend in another store ASAP.

Amusingly got given a game branded bag and game branded till paper, poor chap on the till said they have no supplies yet and no new ones are being created as yet.

to be honest unless you have a decent amount of games knocking about it's not really worth going out of your way, there's not much to trade against!

Still seems to be an incredibly iffy situation.

Indeed, where are the games?

The few stores I have ventued into in the last 7 days have been pretty much empty of both new and pre-owned stock. Surely the closed stores stock should now be in the remaining stores and they should all be pretty full.

Fuck it, I'm going to take a haul of shit in tomorrow. I've got far too many games that I'm hanging on to for no reason whatsoever, and I just need to get shut of a load of them for good. This seems like the perfect opportunity.

I mean, Perfect Dark Zero, when will I ever play that again? It was shit in 2005 and it's shit now. And I only got Saint's Row because GTA wasn't out on the Xbox 360 yet. I fucking loved Prince of Persia (2008), but I 1000-pointed it, and will never return. There just aren't enough hours in the day to complete the new games, never mind go back to any of these. Even if I get a quid each for them, with the £10 extra offer I'll get at least £4.33 each, which seems more than fair to me.

I'll trade it in for PSN credit and buy some new Vita shit.

WHO'S WITH ME.

I have selected another £150 worth to go tomorrow so I may pick up a vita.

That's if they have any.

Found 32 games to trade in across all formats. Need to find another, and then I'll do another sweep. It's so liberating.

It absolutely is liberating. Feels brilliant.

Doesn't appear to be any restrictions on games they will take - Tiger woods 07, etc

Just took in 12 360 games (some of which I grabbed in their fire sale for 49p/99p) and the rest pretty much worthless and now have a £64 gift card.

Wish i had more stuff now.

These trade in stories are insane. GAME are buying back the fire sale stock they sold a month ago at higher prices. Surely no one is gonna buy any of the tat that is filling up the selves at the price levels they'd have to set to make any money on them. I confess I'm no Alan Sugar but I missing some really obvious or what?

I'm assuming that they need the stock and they imagine they can at least break even on it. It's not going to be a long term offer I'm sure.

Traded in for £205... shame there's absolute nothing there, no PS3's, Vita's, 3DS's console wise. I ended up getting Fifa 12 & Star Wars Kinect for my bro as they had nothing i was after. More stock of everything next week apparently!

So hang on, ANY 3 games, and you get +£10?

I wonder if I have enough random old Wii, DS etc. games kicking around to get a fair chunk off a Vita. Then again, it'd be on a trade-in card for now, and I don't know if I trust loading credit onto one of those.

The trade in prices are weird, the gave me £23 for Batman Arkham City, £15 for GTA 4, £15 for Super Paper Mario for example.

Going to raid my brothers collection when i get home and do this again tomorrow, it ends on the 25th just as a heads up. Apparently you can't use the gift card on the website but i'm going to test that now.

Edit - Doesn't work even though the option is there.

Just took my 39 games in and got a nice £230.80 for them all! Some fairly shitty too, so an average of 6 quid each is brilliant. My receipt is about four metres long.

I could save it for a Wii U, but I'm not sure if I want to keep this as credit for too long. Might just get iTunes, PSN and 3DS credit. They can't go bust again though, surely? :P

That's my worry, i don't need anything and nothings really coming out as of yet. But i don't want to be stuck with it!
