I have an account linking question. My nephew has been playing Fortnite on his Switch for a while. Recently he got an Xbox Series S and wants to also play on that. I've been trying to link his accounts but it's incredibly confusing. 

 

The main issue I have is that when I try to link the Nintendo account to the Epic games account that's also linked to the Xbox (which I think was created from the Xbox account if that makes sense) it tells me that account is already linked to another epic account. It doesn't give any details though and in the Nintendo account there doesn't seem to be any way to unlink anything. Anyone have any experience doing this?

I had the same problem when I tried to link my Xbox account to my Epic account (where the PS was the primary)

 

What happens is whenever you started Fortnite on a new platform, it creates a dummy email account, if you haven’t linked that platform to you Epic account beforehand.

 

Email tech support/ live chat thing and tell them that you want to link the switch profile. They can delete the dummy account from your switch and then they will tell you to do a few steps before you can link your Switch profile to your Epic account.

For those of you that have played this longer than I - is there a way to request/petition for new emotes? I badly want the Naacho Naacho dance and song from RRR and with its Golden Globe award last night I feel like now is the time to strike.

I started last week, playing the zero build mode. Already got a few 1st places and regular top 5 spots.

The no build mode is much more forgiving in terms of the skill gap. And for your first lot of games, you’ll be playing against bots anyway, so it doesn’t throw you in at the deep end.

Do seasons normally last this long? I thought it'd be over by now but not even the extra gubbins are unlocked. Still I've got all the Doomguy stuff after leaving it for like 40 days, so I'm happy.

They have finally got rid of the weekly challenges timer, back to what it used to be and you can complete them until the season ends.

I saw that last night, that means the "you can get to level 100 in 5 hours on the last day of the season"

 

YouTube guy will be happy again. 

 

6 Days to The Witcher content too, which was the only thing I was interested in this season. 

 

But what I'm really waiting for is that Justin Bieber emote...

I perfer to do the weekly quests together with my daughter but I can't play every week and she had FOMO so played with her friends. I just did not care enough so stopped playing.

I've moved onto DMZ over on MW 2.0 because of how lacklustre Fortnite has become as a whole.

 

I play when the other half is on, but, long gone are the days of me doing every challenge on it to level up to unlock skins I will never actually use.

I have heard that the new sword is very OP, could be this season’s Deku Smash (though I never really got the hate for that, if you knew where you were being targeted from it left the user very exposed and defenceless - a free kill).

Got my first win already. Like the new biome but wish they’d replaced the medieval themed trash. 
 

BP has little of interest. I like the pack leader and the Japanese Queen lady. The Dino Bro is ok, but I think I’m going to skip this one.

We had a go last night, I didn’t even realize it was day one of new season but picked up a dub, it’s odd as 2/3 of the map and weapons are the same and then there is madness for the other 1/3!!

 

The sword is going to be needed, you can traverse with it and the sweats have worked out how to OP it and it’s ridiculous how quick and far you can move - out run a car or bike with ease 😂

 

It feels buggy as hell tho, running over ammo doesn’t collect it half the time and you can try and pick up a weapon and it just doesn’t happen esp if you are moving - I’m sure these things will get ironed out and seems an ok ‘big’ update from the couple of hours we played!

Yep - same here. PS5 Framerate dropping to low 30s, and I got my win today whilst all I could see on my screen was the hud and map. My son finished off the last 2 other duos whilst I stared at a blue screen…

 

(…and before that, player models would randomly not render - sometimes my own, sometimes other players. Makes hitting your shots quite tricky!)
