Nathan Wind
Apologies if there's already a thread on this but the search predictably revealed naaaaathing..... So this looks like it could potentially be ace if you're into parodies of bad 80s stuff; think The Beastie Boys Sabotage video, or Darkplace. It would appear that it's going to take the Youtube web-series format. http://www.sbs.com.au/danger5/

SeanR
you're wide of the mark with your "bad 80s stuff" comment, but I'll let it slide.

Well, granted. I meant that if you like that sort of stuff (Darkplace etc) this should appeal.....
Headache
Episode 2 is out, I'm quite enjoying this. It's wonderfully silly. chris on the moon
The first series of this appeared on UK netflix at some point in february. I just finished watching it. It's very good I like it a lot.

LaveDisco
Danger 5 is brilliant. Found it in the backwaters of netflix and I've fallen in love. The cinematography is incredible. It really feels like show about the 40s that was made in the 60s that you used to watch in the 80s on a sunday lunchtime on channel 4. Like Land of the Giants and whatever else used to be on before Kabaddi.
ukdazs
Stumbled across this last night on Netflix having never heard of it. I think my brain is still trying to process it but I think it was AMAZING. Saw a clip of series two this morning and that looked equally insane/incredible.
Chadruharazzeb
I watched the first episode this weekend. Brilliant! Loved the dogs especially.

chris on the moon
and now series 2 is available on netflix. Oh goodness.
Monkeyboy
Second season's different, but not too different. Production values feel ever so slightly higher, but I'm liking the nineteen-eighties action vibe, and the ongoing fascination for people with animal heads makes me feel like I'm watching some bizarre mix of Hotline Miami and Animal Kwackers. Scruff
Tucker in his Australia day inspired drug binge "only dagos eat ravioli Mum" in a thick Aussie accent Jesu Christo, all this show needs is some Power Glove music and it'd be rolling in Emmy's and BAFTA's. Nathan Wind
Get this shit watched if you like D5 - It's formidable. There's a couple of full length versions on YT but it was made in bite sized episodes so it gets a bit tiring in long format. I find anyway. Still frigging ace though. ZOK
Hmm...I like D5 a lot, but that Italian Spider-Man is just more than a bit one note. Thirty seconds and you've seen everything.

Monkeyboy
Who wouldn't? Even with a tab end hanging out of her mouth. In fact, especially with a tab end hanging out of her mouth.
Spartan
I marathoned both seasons of this recently. Instant classic imo for me. Reminds me of Darkplace.
Spacehost
Just finished the first series and loved its pastiche 60s thing, and started on the second. Fuck me.
Sponge
I thought the second season was a fair bit worse than the first, I thought it was better when they were a functioning group, and also 40's Pierre was way better than 80's Pierre. There was a lot I liked about the show but overall I'd say it fell flat too often to be something I'd recommend. It never felt like it really grew beyond the first episode. Fury4k
It's a show I'd like to enjoy as it's a pretty good concept. But mostly the entire thing fell flat for me.
Sponge
There were a few genuinely great moments and ideas in there but too much duff in between. If you condensed the best bits down to one episode it would be epic.
mr_woo
Watched the first season of this yesterday and it had me in tears Absolutely superb and one of the best comedies I've seen for a looooong time. Now onto season 2!
