EDIT: Updated OP with all wheels and info, thanks to Meerman and PC Master Race

Wireless motion wheel (€60-ish, release TBA)

Official MS FFB wheel (€80, discontinued)

The one most of us got. It has a few bugs (it presses certain buttons by itself sometimes and the plastics bits are prone to snapping) but other than that it's a solid wheel. It's been discontinued because of the bugs, probably. Search eBay for one.

Madcatz wireless FFB wheel (€250-ish, release Q4 2011)

4-e3-madcatz-steering-1.jpg

Believed to be the 3rd party successor to the official wheel, but at a much higher price. Time will tell it's worth the money though, since it's from Madcatz.

Fanatec Porsche S (€400-ish, released with Forza 3, Limited edition)

pwts_01.jpg?n=6204

The wheel that was released alongside Forza Motorsport 3. A really well-built wheel, but rather expensive.

Fanatec CSR (€400-ish, release TBA)

02_csr.jpg

Developed for Forza Motorsport 4, due to be released at a bargain price. This is the 'budget' version of the...

Fanatec CSR Elite (€500-ish, release TBA)

No idea what makes this one more expensive, maybe the carbon look and the F1-style angle. Yours for a whopping amount of dineros.

I used to have the MS wheel but sold it when I moved abroad. It was pretty good but one thing I wish I'd invested in is the proper wheelstand pro thing. It was kind of wasted without and more often than not, I couldn't be bothered to move the table and stuff to get the wheel fixed up properly. Oh and the pedals were crap IMO. Other than that, good wheel. Seriously thinking about getting that Fanatec one but it'll be what, $500-600 to get everything I need to set it up properly which feels quite extreme.

Fanatec GT2 and Clubsport pedals mounted on a Wheelstand Pro. Obviously they are very, very good and work on all three main formats.

Before that I had a budget Logitech jobbie (Driving Force GT), which for the money I paid (around £50 from Argos) was a superb match to GT5.

Pics please Sharky! Was thinking about getting the stand as I used to use an ironing board which took up too much space..

No probs mate, I'll sort them this weekend if I can; if not early next week. The stand is quality - I also have all the other gubbins for it like the pedal stopper and the shifter attachment, which replaces the normal bars that slide through the wheel itself. It gives a much more solid mounting for the shifter (not that I use it, except as a handbrake in Richard Burns Rally!).

It would be better to add all relevant info in the first post, TommyG.

The following wheels are (or going to be) available for the 360:

Splendid for those who don't want to be seen with a wheel, don't have the money, don't have the space or aren't allowed to by the wife.

I have a MS 360 wheel. Can someone recommend a decent stand thing for it that a) won't cost the earth b) can easily be folded away so my gf doesn't murder me.

Wheelstand Pro or the Fanatec Rennsport stand are probably your best bet; you'll be looking at £100 minimum though. There may be some cheaper alternatives such as the Speedblack stands - no idea if they're any good.

You missed the Fanatec GT2 and Clubsport Pedals. (also I think the Turbo S is now discontinued)

I have this set, with the shifter.

The wheel and pedals are soooo good it's almost spiritual. Makes a HUGE difference to both Forza and Gran Turismo. I have to admit, I really didn't like Forza 3 with the official MS wheel, but as soon as I tried it with the GT2 I nearly wept with joy... :)

(The fanatec shifter is a piece of plaky shit thought, and the Logitec g27 shifter is much nicer...)

I have the GT2 with Clubsport pedals mounted on a WSP with their add-on to allow the Clubsport pedals to be mounted (basically some metal bars, screws and bolts)

It is a great setup with an insane amount of adjustability and having had many a wheel from Sidewinder onwards it is easily the best i have had, very tempted by a CSR-e but knocking on £500 for the wheel alone makes it a questionable purchase!

I have this

41iLpWc478L.jpg

It's the predecessor to the Mad Catz FFB one posted above. Unlike most Mad Catz wheels, it's of a high build quality (the MicroCon I had before felt cheap and was a delicate thing), the pedals are wonderful to use as are the gear shifters. The differences between mine and the new one above are the gear shifters, the gear stick is a knob rather than a penis, the front actually has a bit of colour on it and of course, no FFB

Main issue I have (apart from money) is that the couch doesn't face the TV square on, so I'd need a wheelstand pro and a chair to use with it. But more importantly, a bloody chair that is easy to stow away somewhere as I can't leave it plonked in the middle of the lounge.

Having a wheel in my living room is a ball ache :(
