It just won't die...

The Disc Drivin' Grand Prix - Season 2+!

What is it?

Doubled in size, this time twenty four hardy racers will take to the tracks to see who has the flick of Gods.

In a change to the season 1 structure, we're now split into 6 leagues of four players, with promotions and relegations allowing movement between them. Just a single round of races means the short seasons should keep it fresh.

How long will it take?

Think of a number, double it and then add a zero.

Nah, the new structure means we're only having short seasons now.. I suspect anywhere between 1 week and 1 month in length. If it goes on longer than that I'll be starting to remove those causing delays.

How will it work?

Each league plays 5 races simultaneously. The same races across the entire competition, which will be decided upon at the start of the season.

Points are awarded to the finishers in each race. 3 for a win, 2 for second, 1 for third, 0 for fourth.

If a race has to be abandoned due to a player going AWOL, they'll be removed from the tour and the race result decided upon by the stewards.

After all the races are complete, the points are tallied up and players promoted/relegated/proclaimed champ accordingly.

Positions are ordered by points, wins, 2nd places etc.

Platinum league (1 champ, 2 relegations)

Gold league (2 promotions, 1 relegation)

Silver league (1 promotion, 1 relegation)

Bronze league (1 promotion, 1 relegation)

Tin league (1 promotion, 1 relegation)

Paper league (1 promotion)

Gaps etc will be dealt with as and when they happen.

How do I join?

If you have an iPhone, iPad or iPod (basically any iOS device) you can play this. The game is available in both paid and unpaid versions (the only difference is the lack of annoying ads in the paid version) and an iPad version.

Just stick your name (disc drivin' account name that is!) down in this thread.

Players from season 1 will be assured of a place, assuming they confirm by Wed 8pm. They will make up the first 3 leagues worth of players.

After that, it's first come first served.

I'll announce the leagues on Wed night.

Anything else I need to know?

You'll need at least 5 spaces for races. If you don't have 'em, you'll need to make space ASAP as it holds up the rest of the players.

If you cannot commit, don't join. The last season took far, far, far too long because one or two players held things up repeatedly.

If you are taking a day between turns, you are taking too long!
