There's a technical truth in that, as violent conduct and professional fouls are the main two red card offences punished in the game. But I don't think there's a specific law like that, it's more that if you're playing advantage, you're banking on the goal being scored. Refs are advised against playing on with red card offences otherwise in case of counter attacks.

Jonas Gutierrez is the biggest diver in the league, he wins more free kicks than anyone else in the Prem, it's something like 5 every game. He's good at it though, watch him closely next time they play.

Young has won the most penalties this season. Suarez second.

Suarez hammered far more often than the Man Utd cheat mind; racists.

Amazing from Wigan, they've gone from relegation certs to pretty much safe and they've done it by playing well.

Yeah usually teams do that by playing shit!!! Well noticed, great post. Really great.

Arsenal were dreadful, but Andre Marriner got totally carried away with the plucky Wigan narrative. They played excellently though and were just clever enough to know that breaking the flow of the game up would totally nullify any Arsenal momentum, and that we're likely to just gift you a couple of goals if you put the ball in the box enough.

Wouldn't say they are close to safe. They are five points out of the relegation zone with four to play - and Bolton have two games in hand over them.

Villa fans must be shitting themselves. One win would see them safe, probably, but they do have the air of a club that is on its holidays already.

To be honest watching a load of their games they have scraped by - theres nothing wrong in that - but this 'playing the right way' bullshit got them there - they managed to play so well their top two strikers are on 4 goals a piece. Lets all congratulate them, but lets not be revisionists about it! They managed to cut some sloppy mistakes out, all give 100% and get that little bit of luck they missed earlier in the season.

Not on our holidays, just really fucking shit. Our Glorious Leader seems intent on sleepwalking us towards relegation, the same way he did with Birmingham last season. Momentum is everything at this time of year and we have absolutely none. Our game in hand against Bolton is next Tuesday and I'm absolutely dreading it.

5 goals a piece. Also, it doesn't really matter what they've done the rest of the season if they make it happen now. And like PinkMoon said, it's all momentum at this stage and they've got it. I'd be quite surprised if Wigan didn't finish above Villa now.

Villa, Wolves and Blackburn to go down.

I doubt if Villa will get another win this season - we certainly won't deserve one if we continue to play we are.

McCleish will play for a draw against Bolton, and they'll go one up, forcing us to use our tried and tested tactic of hoofing it long to Ivanhoe Heskey. After the game McCleish will blame it all on Samir Carruthers, a 20 year old, played out of position, for missing an 'easy' chance. He'll then state he has proven experience of getting teams out of the Championship, and he fully intends to see out his contract as the 20th best manager in the world.

Pundit of the year. Comedy routines.

I've never got vinegar with my bread :(

Hopefully Neville being praised for knowing about football will bring a few more people through who can think a bit. It makes it so much better to watch.
