Young went down far too easily and as a United fan I don't want to see him doing that. But let's not pretend he's the only player that does it. And the Liverpool fans in here berating him need to remember that Gerrard and his young apprentice Suarez are as bad as anyone in the league for diving.

Suarez usually just gets booked for diving or nothing given

Well even if we smash Villa, the win is tainted. If Young didn't have a reputation before, he certainly does now. I don't feel particularly sorry for the ref for being deceived; he should know that Young has simulated, because the way he fell doesn't match up with the momentum he had.

Blame the ref then.

No, blame Suarez.

Young is a serial diving cheat and you pass the blame to the ref and Liverpool!

Hang on. Given clearly handled the ball outside the area and the linesman flagged… why did the ref signal play on when there was no advantage?

Another shocking game for the ref. Gives a penalty for a dive. Doesn't give one for a handball, and doesn't do anything about Given's handling outside the area even though the linesman flagged.

No-one is blaming the ref, Young is an accomplished cheat.

Young had nothing to do with the other decisions though.

Kudos to Chelsea and Tottenham there, you really are the worst kind of people.

Who's that directed at?

Wish commentators would say what they really thought instead of towing the line, they weren't even that condemning of that blatant dive.

We all know it depends on the player. Numerous ones have bleated on a out Suarez yet won't mention English players.

Some pretty classless actions today all told. Fans not observing the silence at Wembley and Utd fans chanting away. Sigh.

Given the booing and shouts of 'wankers' quite visibly coming from our end after the silence ended I'd thank you if not to tar us with the same brush as the blue cunts, ta.

I thought it sounded like it came from around the ground, but it does appear that I am wrong and it was some just the hateful Chelsea morons. Makes it easier to enjoy their upcoming thrashing at the hands of Barcelona, not that it would be hard to begin with.

After hearing those fans, I hope Spurs smash them now, even if it means a harder final for us.

Disgusted by some of the United and Chelsea fans today. Dont care how much I hate them I would never in a day dream of chanting and mocking anything about tragedies surrounding their clubs.

Whats that famous Chelsea chant again? Oh yeah "you know what you are"

I can believe it. My dad is a Chelsea fan and I know the fan group he goes to games with has a lot of awful awful people in it. Including a former National Front spokesperson (he even wrote and produced a cheery little number for them!) . I also went to a game at Stamford bridge a few years ago (a dead rubber tie against Valencia in the CL group stages) with him and it wasn't a very pleasant experience. Other teams I've seen as a home fan have been Spurs, West Ham and, er, Gillingham so maybe those three are the odd ones, but it struck me as strange that Chelsea fans seem to have more songs about how much they hate Jews (Tottenham) and retards (Fulham) than they did about their own club, especially because, as I said, they were playing Valencia.

Chelsea have no history ;)
