Well I went to the real derby tonight, not the pussy match between Liverpool and Everton.

Very nearly a big punch up on 60 minutes with every player on the pitch within 10 metres of each other after 20 seconds of tackles absolutely flying in from all angles, a player stretchered off, a late sending off and a late winning goal for us well into the 8 minutes of time added on. And by us I mean Derby County.

Get in.

However, due to some extremely unsavoury chanting from the Derby County fans, I can know climb on my gigantic high horse as a substitute for losing. I'm climbing on it right now, and it's MASSIVE.

I GUESS that was a bit far. Yeah, it was. The kind of thing that makes you ashamed to be a fan. Along with spending more than a couple of seconds actually focussing on the people around you and realising a pretty high percentage are dicks full stop.

Depressing, isn't it? A small section of Forest fans got in trouble for racist chanting at the Leicester fans a few months ago, which is bad enough, but it was racist chanting that didn't even make sense. The worst kind.

There should be one football league for dicks and one football league for cool people. I work full-time choosing who gets to be a supporter in each league.

I was out the night before the match was originally scheduled and some guy I'd never seen before gave me a drink and asked me if I was going to the game. I told him I was and he asked if I'd heard the news. I said I had. Told me he was glad he was dead. I just stood and stared and didn't answer, waited for him to come to his senses, to apologise, to call me a gay prick, whatever. Unfortunately my dramatic gesture didn't have the impact it would in a film or TV show as he was one of those people who talks at you rather than with you and wasn't the least bit interested in my reaction, and continued ranting about "Forest scum".

You actually sat there, went through the negs, and then looked at it against me? How long did this take. Freaky.

I guess you've got more time on you hands to check up on those sort of things, weird as it is. Personally I've only got enough time to throw some negs down in a thread then do other stuff.

Especially negs for someone who has to mull over whether chants about a dead guy are acceptable. "I guess so. Maybe. Yeah, okay it is, I admit".

I thought that bent mod had finished now. He was terrible after all (as confirmed to me by other mods)

Check the time of my post against your negs. Eight minutes difference. Bearing in mind I didn't see them instantly, the whole criminal investigation took less than two minutes. It's a good thing I'm paid for results and not time.

Or we could just ask, although there were problems when threads got too long in the past so it might have to be split across a few.

I also think Timmo deserves some praise for being a Derby fan who doesnt fucking go on about "we only had 10 men" every fucking 10 minutes or so. I work with a few and they're always going on about it. That and for also not trying to make excuses for the dickish chants by the Derby fans last night. One of the ones I work with was going on about it on facebook a shitload last night, defending the chants with shit reasoning like "you wanted him out, you got your wish so shut up moaning". Its amazing how people can justify being a cunt to other people based on the football team they support.
