So how many goals will Messi get for Barcelona this season?

He has scored 48 goals in 42 games so far.

Barcelona have a minimum of 16 (13 league, 1 cup, 2 Europe) and a maximum of 21 (13 league, 2 cup, 5 Europe) games to play. Barring injury or suspension, I think Leo Messi will be very disappointed if he doesnt hit 60 goals.

According to the BBC, Messi is seven goals away from becoming Barcelona's record goalscorer.

He's still only 24 :o

Been looking at the stats, and the bloke he's catching didn't start playing for them until he was 23 (just after WWII, so was potentially "robbed" of a few seasons worth of goals!), and they had far few games per season during his career. Messi does have a better Goals Per Game ratio though, which I guess is the ultimate measure!

Yep. Seen the Arnie film Twins? You know where one twin was perfect, and the other the complete opposite? Its exactly like that. Sperm from Pele, Maradonna, Garrincha, Charlton, Best, Law, Muller & Cryuff, was mixed in a pot and blown up Jackie Joiner Kerseys muff, and two babies were born as a result. Messi was one of those children. The other? Andy Carroll.

I think Glens just trying to give a bit of balance although he'll probably get shot down, Evra is a twat and acted the twat before and after the game

The thing that annoyed me the most was Evra pulling Luis arm back, if he didn't want to shake hands then thats his right, then Duckface didn't shake Luis hand, they are like a bunch of10 year olds at Man Utd

Without meaning to drag this tedious debate out again, why exactly was he "damned if he didn't"?

Who would have thought he was a twat if he'd said "I'd rather not talk about that as we all want to move on?" Maybe you would, I guess. Anyone else?

You really trust the media not to put any spin on it? If you could trust they'd leave it be then yeah, I'd be all for him saying 'it's done now, we're all moving on'. Given how open Johnson was in the interview, it would mark a change in tone that would be easy to twist. Maybe not the Mail themselves but definitely other elements in the press.

The Mirror have shown numerous times that little details like that don't matter to them.

All the arrogant talk (from the media more than the fans) about the apparently inevitable United and City final looks a little less likely now.
