Fulham up to 8th - finishing there would have to be considered a success for Jol after a rough start to the season.

A west London club with a maverick Chairman who stuck by his manager and opted to boot out the egotistical player undermining him being rewarded with good results...

Wolves defensively were shockingly bad, is this progress after Mick? Not sure really. I know TC has only had two games in charge but you do have to wonder whether they would be doing any worse than with Mick in charge.

I just hope QPR get relegated, can't stand Mark Hughes.

That disallowed Spurs goal was proper shit. Yes it hit Adebayor's hand but surely no-one can argue it was intentional? He stopped the ball on the line for Christ's sake.

It didn't hit his hand at first, but then he used it to knock the ball down to where he could score from.

Spurs finally unravelling as Redknapp gets closer to jumping ship to manage England.

He will have to do it sooner rather than later if results continue like this.

I don't know if Adebayor's handball was intentional, but the contact with his arm helped him score.

I really miss Ashley Young. :(

He proved himself as a matchwinner for United today, terrific performance. Our first goal was from his corner too; we never score from corners.

You are such a knob, Spurs fully deserve to be in third - mainly as they have lost less than anyone other than the teams above them. Four of the six loses being against Man U & City, while i agree they were never going to win the title they have easily been the third best team in the league this season and a cut above anyone below them so far this season.

Spurs also had the same bad start to the season as they are having at this point, unlike many teams we have played almost all the 'big teams' twice bar Chelsea coming up and have a nicer run in than most.

Still, third place and four above closest team is a place any Spurs fan would take at this point of the season.

I think he is a sensational player. As an attacking threat he has it all, he can pass, he can shoot, he can dribble and he can strike a mean dead ball. I made a huge post about him in the United thread just as the transfer was going though, it's just a shame he has missed so much of the season with injury. Plus he really looks like Marlo out of The Wire.

Spend £15 million getting in a new manager, then desperately spend the last two weeks trying to get Benitez in and now you get rid of your manager in an attempt to make things better? Why not just do what you and the fans really want, EBJT as manager and Fat Frank as his number 2?

Can't do any worse than Wenger's trophy cabinet from the last six years.

True. But I'd like to have seen Chelsea achieve something, anything, on Wenger's budget rather than the hundreds of millions they've thrown at it so far. BlinkyBear did make a fair point. The money AVB will cost Chelsea plus those gone the same way before him plus whoever comes in next is all rather embarrassing.

Watching Real Madrid crush hapless opposition is hardly a new thing, but they are currently 5-0 up on Espanyol and the scoreline flatters the side from Barcelona. Kaka has scored one and made two (so far) in the second half and he has been absolutely sensational, playing like the Kaka who was so good for AC Milan.

He's just a horrible footballer. I don't understand what he actually contributes.

I guess he's your Robbie Savage type of footballer. Gets the ball and gives it to the playmakers. If he plays for your team, you love him but if he plays against you, hate him.

Got to say, thought Pardew acted like a right dick on the touchline. Yes, he has every right to be annoyed at some of the tackles going in but seriously that's just direspectful.
