I'm assuming it's my posts you're referring to Nayson and I'm sorry if they've pissed you off. I kind of felt like I was more discussing than complaining but there you go.

For the record I've always felt the same, although clearly seeing it happen to your own team is bound to strengthen your feeling. We've gone up in the bottom play-off spot in my lifetime too so I can remember it the other way.

And as I seem to have to keep repeating I don't think the third placed team should go up automatically at all, I think they should have to play-off against the equivalent lower placed team in the league above and the same for another couple of teams, which if anything would keep more excitement going for longer since there'd be more danger in the league above and more big 'winner takes it all' games at the end of it.

I'm sure it'll never happen but I think it'd be quite cool and would feel more logical, too.

Mancini says Balotelli needs to improve his behaviour:

This in the same week Tevez is being welcomed back?

Pathetic Mancini and Man City. You've allowed Tevez to come back to chase a title despite him being a despicable piece of work, and you've got the nerve to criticise other players?

Please bear in mind that there has never been an automatic third promotion spot. The third spot was brought in for the playoffs

Division 2 (that's the Championship now).

Oxford United, Birmingham and Man City - automatic promotion to Division 1 (now the Premier League).

Personally, I'd prefer to see 4 teams up and 4 teams down - or even 5 teams up and 5 teams down. If you had 5 teams going up from the Championship, ending the season in the top 8 would mean you were in with a chance of going up via a Wembley Play-Off.

I don't want to see an 18 team Premier League and I doubt Sky would either (probably the most important factor sadly) - less teams = less games.

I completely agree. Mario might not have the best attitude but at least he's turning up for training and games and doing the business on the pitch. Sure he can be a cunt but not compared to what Tevez did.

One's a lost cause and the other is fairly young and can be influenced so maybe that's why he's saying it ? Does seem rather unfair though.

They don't bother showing 75% of the games now so I doubt that'd make a big difference.

It is literally not possible for me to legally watch Chelsea today by any means for instance. Yet they'll still think I've done something wrong when I get a stream from somewhere.

Notice how the Liverpool fans don't even appeal given how fucking blatant it is. He's SUCH a cunt. How on Earth do his own fans even tolerate the ballroot?

1) the referee gave it before he even hit the ground

2) players from all teams do it, pundits encourage it and fans are usually happy for players to do it if it gives them the advantage.

Most players do it when given the chance, people really need to stop acting like it's only one or two.

Whilst I agree most players do it, thats not really a valid excuse for any player doing so.

I'm sure there's a point in that post somewhere, but all I see is excuses.

I'm not defending it in the slightest. On the contrary, I've complained several times that pundits need to stop encouraging it and players do it because they are almost never punished. Even if they do get 'punished', they rarely get carded.

You need your eyesight seeing to, I've not made any excuses, nor have I claimed he had a god given right to dive or anything else. It wasn't a penalty and he made the most of it.

I wasn't really saying you (personally) were, but it often wheeled out as an excuse in defence of such actions. If fans didn't defend their own players and if Andy Townsend and Jamie Redknapp weren't allowed on TV, we may start to see some changes :P

Another Dive by Suarez, typical. Him and Bale are awful for diving, i hate how the FA never do anything about it. I remember N'Gog diving at Anfield against us a few season ago at Anfield and winning a penalty, it's blatant cheating.
