For reference the Dundee top is from a 1953 tour of South Africa.

I'd like to think that, albeit on a smaller scale than Notts County influencing Juve's colours, there is a SA township side still sporting a tartan kit.

Everyone hates this kit but I love it.

United wore that kit when we beat them at Anfield and blew the league, we were very smug because it was yet another year they hadnt won it and it was 18-7 in leagues! only 20 years ago but seems like a century ago now considering what's happened since

Looking at these kits brings out a fondness for the OTT and more bizarre kit designs. Thinking about some of the generic templates that get recycled across multi clubs these days does make me wish for a few more modern batshit mental designs.

Anyway, here's an old Sheffield Wednesday kit from the mid 80s. Lilac and football perhaps shouldn't mix, but it kind of works if the ambition was to create a kit Buck Rogers might of worn in a 70s-skewed vision of the future:

The grey one is just a re-jig of one they had in early 90s isn't it? Seem to remember it being worn when they lost to Wimbledon.

Think we wore it in 87-88 but the new one just looks like they're pyjamas.
