All I will say, as one Wolves fan said in here, is that it still seemed like they were a Championship side in the PL. Every game was a scrap and fight for points, almost like a cup tie. That may be good in your first season but you really need to move on from that if you are going to establish yourself in the Premier League.

Without mega-bucks behind you, I think it's always going to be a scrap to stay in the Premier League, though.

It will be very interesting to see how Norwich and Swansea get on next year. If they continue to propser, then it may herald a new beginning, but I suspect they'll have that difficult second season like other promoted teams have.

As a Swansea fan I worry about how many of our best players we'll be able to hold on to. The way we've brought in players (and managers) that fit our style has worked really well but if we aren't able to keep the core players that make it possible for us to play our passing / possession based game then we'll struggle badly next season.

Looking ahead we need to try and sign Sigurdsson, he's been brilliant since joining us on loan, we've lacked someone with his ability to put a good cross in or play that decisive through ball that splits the defence. Our main problem is scoring goals, Graham's got 14 so far which is good but then it's a fast drop down to Sinclair and Dyer. I'd like to see both of them stepping up and taking more chances.

Relegation is hard to call in the Prem this season.

Its almost certainly 3 of the bottom 5 as Villa have a 7 point cushion at the moment, but they look pretty bad and there is always the chance of Swansea or Norwich having a terrible run (I doubt they will, but promoted teams performing well in the first half of a season do have a tendancy to fall apart at the end and not pick up any points).

I reckon - Bolton, QPR and Wolves providing Yakubu stays fit for Blackburn. Wigan will continue to pull off a few wins at the end of the season and stay up.

Sigurdsson is awesome isn't he. If Reading don't go up this season and hopefully buy him back then I hope you do as he seems to fit into the way you play just perfectly.

I read last week that they done one of those "sell your future ticket revenue for money up front deals" which are always a bad sign. Think Leeds did the same. Also there is the tax case but didn't think things were this bad.

This is the current SPL champions in administration. Shocking!

Yeah they sold the future revenue for the next 4 seasons and are due to be hit with a £49 million tax bill from HMRC in a few days. The owner however is due to make a healthy profit when they go bankrupt according to a BBC report a few months ago even though he bought the club for £1.

That would mean they could finish the season as low as second!

 Correct.

If they're not out of admin by March 31st then it's no European football next season, regardless of where they finish. UEFA won't grant a licence to a club that owes creditors, like HMRC or players.

The SPL is in a position where Rangers could go into Admin and still comfortably finish second.

If you haven't seen this yet, do.

Wow.

He was the best player in the the Premier League, by quite some distance, and has improved tremendously since going to Spain. And he's still only the second best player in that country. Incredible.

Good old Aaron Ramsey...

On May 1st 2011 Aaron Ramsey scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over Manchester United, the next day Osama bin Laden was killed. On October 19th, 2011 Aaron Ramsey scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over Marseille, the next day Muammar Gaddafi was killed. On Saturday he scored against Sunderland.......

If, tomorrow morning, you hear someone breaking into your house don't worry. It'll only be the police after they assumed you were involved in bribing police officers.

Apparently Tevez is saying he wants to come back and play for Man City.

As they've been lacking firepower the last month or so what are the odds on the city fans welcoming him back with semi open "Welcome to Manchester" arms?!
