There are no words strong enough to convey my hatred for Alex McLeish and his hideous brand of anti-football.

While that's true enough playing against City isn't easy.

I was born in the midlands and they really don't like each other, Blues vs Villa is worse though.

Felt sorry for Mick today, it all went wrong when Bassong went off injured. The players have to take the blame, their defending was woeful.

As much as he makes me cringe, they've been doubly unlucky. They've lost Frimpong who had only just came in on loan and now Bassong too - 2 signings that might have made all the difference for them, both gone. I'm just hoping they don't now recall George Elokobi, as Forest are short on bodies as it is...

I had to put up with it for a few years when he managed the Blues, he would never have got the Villa job had he not won the carling cup. Thank god for Chris Hughton!

When he managed us I don't think we were quite as bad to watch as villa at the moment. Chris does have us playing some decent footy these days though, just hope we get to extend his contract past the end of the season.

what is the game coming to

Actually, and if you see the still pics that a fanatic bloke on the internet put up, you can clearly see that the mascot was going to shake his hand and then pulled it away and then the other one was gonna shake his hand and then moved it away.

Basically its Alex Fergusons fault

He's lucky he didn't cause a riot. If there was any justice in this world he'd never mascot for Villa again.

Well he's on a rolling contract so technically he is always going to be under a one year deal, doesn't really matter either way. If a bigger club comes calling, he will go if the situation is right for him. To be fair, with the amazing job he has done so far, if he left i couldn't have a go at him.

Bang on. If thousands had died he would have been responsible.

He is a monster.

What an arrogant post - winning the Championship isn't a doddle.

I never said it was. I'm a QPR supporter I know how hard the lower leagues are. But the quality of the eredivisie is no where near that of the big three of Spain, Italy and England. Its just a fact.

Oh years I don't think any fan would have a go, he's been amazing. I'd love to see what he could do for us if we get promoted. It's just I think he deserves someone bigger than us with money to spend.

Do big crowds scare you [YES] -> Wigan :(

I'm no fan of theirs (stealing Martinez from us!) but it's never fun to see an empty stadium.

From that Swiss Ramble blog I mentioned the other day. Matchday makes up just 9% of their income with TV a whopping 88%. Not sure how loaded Dave Whelan is but you got to think that if they go down, they won't be coming back anytime soon.

(Figures are a year or two old.)
