Never been a fan of Evra, always a horrible wind-up merchant of the worst kind, especially against us. But my respect for him has grown massively over the last couple of months with the way that he's dealt with the whole situation. He's got every right to be fucked off over the way that some morons have tried to vilify him and got every right to celebrate today.

Yup, we were insanely average and deserved nothing from the game. Didn't think United were fantastic, but they did deserve to win.

Oh, and the Suarez handshake refusal was embarrassing. Whatever the situation, he represents the club and this was a chance to at least make a small gesture to put the whole thing behind us and start focussing on football again. As it is all of us fans are now going to have to put up with the kind of 'Liverpool scum cunt' bullshit that happened on the past page again over it.

Of course your club could avoid this by not being racism defending cunts in the first place.

I mean Chelsea are making you look classy. CHELSEA for fucks sake.

Fuck it, if it weren't for Suarez's refusal to shake hands at the start and Evra's celebrations in his face at the end, there'd be nothing to talk about. Do the above posts back me up?

Don't be silly, there'd be plenty pontificating regardless. Apparently racism is the only kind of abuse that's unacceptable.

Yup. It's been embarrassing. They've dealt with it all wrong and I'm not ashamed to admit that.

Of course, due to the rules of football supporting the fact I am a Liverpool fan automatically makes me racist/a Suarez apologist/whatever now when in actuality I genuinely wish the club had shut up over the whole thing.

Thank fuck Formula One has started again.

I'm over on the Chelsea game already, Did Kenny really just claim to not know about the handshake and then say you'd be "out of order to blame Suarez for anything"

It's nice to have some heat off us in the posh part of Fulham for once at least :)

I meant, not getting involved with the fracas at the end. Stop being so precious.

Its not about being precious (hell, I'm not a Utd fan), but Evra's got every right to celebrate. Hard. In his face. Saying Suarez ended the match "being the classiest act" seems to forget that he acted like a massive knob in the first place, overshadowing any knobishness that happened after by far. Whats the betting Evra wouldnt have been celebrating so hard had Suarez accepted the handshake?

Evra is a snidey little shit, he fucked up at Anfield to give Kuyt the chance to score and no one celebrated in his face at the time or at full time. He's exactly the kind of little cunt who gets the dig in when everyone's distracted then runs away.

I've been a big liverpool fan in the past but this season I've really fallen out of love with it because of the way Suarez, Kenny and the club have dealt with the situation. There's been countless opportunities to just swallow the medicine and have done with it but each and every time they've chosen to be confrontational and arrogant. It's been totally emabarassing and I really can't stand the way fans are blindly arguing in favour of Suarez just because he's in a Liverpool shirt. The guy's a total dick, he may be in a Liverpool shirt, but that doesn't mean I have to pretend I can't see his behaviour for what it is.

Evra also had the chance to be reserved and humble at the end but was just as much in the wrong for stirring the pot even further. If only the Irish League wasn't so dire, I'd probably give up on the premier league for good.
