Liverpool are just about the worst Prem league team to watch these days. They need to sack off their worst players like Adam and Spearing and Carroll and bring in some players who can do more than put in a shift but create nothing.

Man City away aren't much fun. I cannot watch Wigan without actually weeping. Aston Villa aren't very nice to watch and Stoke are pretty dull too. As a neutral, I like watching Spurs (at home), Arsenal, Man Utd, Swansea and I have a strange attraction towards Newcastle United. Liverpool just can't seem to score - even though they have so many attacking players.

I can't remember the situation but I think someone got booked for something and people called for him to be banned to which the FA said that the refs decision that was made in the match was final.

(something along those lines)

That photo is a bit misleading as it happened pretty quickly, he just fucked up his timing. Got a deserved yellow for it anyway. I thought Skrtel was lucky to stay on the pitch, not just because of the Bale challenge but also the high boot on Freidel.

The chap doing the BBC live commentary was of the opinion it looked even worse in motion.

Yea that is the standard procedure and happens fairly often. Usually dodgy two footed challenges that the ref is lenient with. But I defintely seem to recall a recent incident that was carded as dangerous play but was then found to be violent conduct or serious foul play and so led to a ban. Obviously though I can't remember at all what the incident was. Maybe it was a dream.

Christ, I thought AVB was coming off a bit aggressive post-match recently but he's still got allot to learn from Daglish.

It's his thing.

SAF has the whole pointing at his watch routine.

AV has the 'struggling with my coat' act.

MON is the cheery chappy.

Dalglish has the sulky teenager with massive chip on shoulder thing.

All great characters in the show :)

Went to the game tonight, amazing reading the comments about how dull a match it was. I really enjoyed it. Felt quite tense as both sides were struggling to create much and every opportunity was crucial. Spurs were very poor though, expected much better from them. They seemed happy doing little triangles of passes in their own half and little else. We could've had the 3 points if we had someone who could put the ball in the net. Carroll is improving.

Suarez' kick was clumsy, a foul that deserved a yellow card. You can see how he did it, he was just expecting the ball to drop and got a bit over excited. Again, clumsy and deserving of a yellow.

People really trying to make it something it isn't because of who is involved.

a) try and kick the ball first time as quickly as possible with defenders around him to score a goal.

b) kick the defender that he shoved out the way in the stomach, which even if the ref didn't see it would mean he would miss the ball and lose the goalscoring chance.

Of course, if he does it to any of our players at the Cup Final then he should be sent off ;-)

I reckon his thinking was to shove Parker out the way and hit and hope for the dropping ball, except Parker managed to steady himself and Suarez fucked his kick up big time. Of course I can completely see why it looks otherwise though.

This could go in any number of places. The picture thread, here or a new "Isn't Piers Morgan a massive c*nt" thread. But I went for here:

I am deeply, deeply ashamed that Piers Morgan claims to be an Arsenal fan.

He's a pundit on the football FOX Sports shows over here. A pundit. Honestly. Eric Wynalda must cringe just sitting next to him.

Suarez is a bit mental isn't he?

It's starting to look that way. Thing is, no one begrudges footballers being aggressive and passionate, it's a key part of many players' game, but when you've found to be repeatedly a bit of a mental, it's difficult not to think that he is. Isn't he still technically banned for league games in Holland because he bit someone?
