I doubt he'll be at Juve next year, they announced at the board meeting in November last year it's his last season at Juve.

That's what I was referencing, he really looked great again in the game and playing like that he'd still be a big asset. When Pirlo has been having an off day they've missed a really flairful spark in the attack and that's exactly what he provided.

I just don't want him to go really :(

Yeah me either but then again, he's shone in fits and starts the last few years. If he could finish at Juve winning the Scudetto, that'd be the best way for him to end his career.

Juve look like they could do it too. Conte has been a surprisingly good coach so far at Juve.

The best thing about Conte for me is his hair. Mainly because when Juve won the league in about 2002 I think, Materazzi had a pop at him saying 'Conte should spend his winnings on a new wig' to which Conte replied in an interview; "To finish I'd like to answer Materazzi's comment who advised me to buy a new wig with the Title prize money. I'd like to remind him that there are more advanced possibilities, as hair transplant, while not for the brain at the moment. Otherwise I would have spent the money, even if it wouldn't be enough!".

FA Cup final is 5th May this year source - the same day as a full programme of Premier League games. Why? I mean last year it was because UEFA required the stadium to be free for two weeks before the Champions League final is hosted there (so same thing next year) but what is the reason this year?

It's to give a break ahead of the European Championships.

LA Galaxy have their 3 "Designated Players" already - Beckham, Keane and Donovan. They've said they're keen to get Frank Lampard in if they're able to get decent money for Donovan, so I don't think Del Piero ends up in Los Angeles.

Based on recent comments, it's not impossible that Alex McLeish will try to take Keane to Villa on a permanent basis so that might free up a space for somebody else to come in at Galaxy.

Way to go an kill he magic of the FA cup, FA. What next, seeding? Later kick off is a bad idea too cause it gives people more drinking time.

Why can't they jut have the full list of prem games on the Saturday and the FA cup final the next day, what's the harm in that? I just think it need to be on a seperate day so everyone can focus on it and watch it.

...what if one or two Premier League sides are in the FA Cup Final?

Their matches would have been postponed anyway then wouldn't they. they could play all the available matches on the Sat and have the final on the Sun

Erm, no they couldn't? The last lot of fixtures in the leagues have to be played at the same time.

Indeed. The Premiership team(s) in the final have to play on the Wednesday between the second-last and last fixture if the FA Cup isn't after the season.

Am I the only one annoyed that pressure is being piled on Anton Ferdinand to shake John Terry's hand?

Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas said it is "extremely important" that Ferdinand shakes Terry's hand.

I really hope he doesn't. Why the hell should he?

People supported Wayne Bridge not shaking his hand after he messed about with his ex, surely allegedly racially abusing someone is just as worthy of no shake.*

*Clearly more worthy in my eyes.

Absolutely. Every time AVB opens his mouth about this issue he makes himself look worse. I'd have loved to see Chelsea suspend Terry whilst this was investigated but of course this was never gonna happen. Hypothetically, if there was no money involved in football, and assuming Terry is still their best defender, would winning games still be more important than operating a zero tolerance policy against racism? It is only a game after all.

Can't see it happening. He's just signed a chunky contract and seems fairly happy with Los Angeles. He's only played a handful of games for them, so I'm sure he'd like to give it more of a go.

And let me add my weight behind the AVB is a douchebag fan club.

This is what happens when people try to shift blame and don't take responsibility for their actions.

Reports now emerging that Anton Ferdinand has been sent a bullet through the post

This has been the nastiest season ever, in terms of players behaviour. Scumbags the lot of them.

Chelsea Football Club needs to publicly acknowledge that amongst has a particular problem with (a) racism and (b) their fans making death threats to players / referees over every single perceived injustice that goes against them, unreservedly condemning all those that partake in it. It needs to come from Abramovich, the manager and all the players. It's the only hope the club have for moving on from it.

I can see the bottom falling out of football soon. The money is obscene, the behaviour is pathetic and I think fans will fall out of love with it sooner or later. I adore my football but sometimes I despair. I know that sounds dramatic and girlie but there you go.

You've got characters such as Tevez who can afford to lose £9m odd over a short period of time more or less cos he's a cunt and doesn't care, Redknapp saying how he paid a mill in tax last year, lost millions elsewhere blah dee blah and is obviously a liar. Racism, cheating. The list goes on. Quite how we're supposed to relate to these people in any way is beyond me.

I hope that more fans will start to look to the lower leagues for their football where player wages aren't a million miles from those of the fans and where fans are a real part of the club rather than just walking wallets!

The problem is that lower league football, whilst more affordable, is overpriced, as well.

This isn't particularly true. League 2 Swindon are still charging ~£25 for standard tickets which doesn't sound particularly 'affordable' to me.

Can take my daughter to this place:

£5 per adult, that's value for money! There are less animals involved too (sorry)...

Cost me £45 to see the Liverpool / Stoke game. I enjoyed it but it's at most a once a year thing for me.

Lucky, lucky Spurs. Scrape through by a goal that was a keeper error - and survived many a chance with last ditch goal keeping and defending.
