I dunno, they've hardly been spectacular this season and Cardiff have looked fairly solid. They've got a decent chance. Bellamy back at Cardiff and the two Gerrard family members against each other should make interesting side stories. Sort of. Maybe,

As someone pointed out yesterday, Cardiff are a lot less hateable now that Dave Jones isn't in charge.

I think its certainly the most interesting of the 4 possible finals - as you say Gerrard vs Gerrard, Bellamy and its probably the only combination that might cause an upset (although I can't see us doing it - and I realise it would be very unlikely)- Man City would have murdered us or Palace and we've probably got a marginally better chance of beating Liverpool than Palace would have, if only because Palace used up their cup magic at Old Trafford.

And we are a lot less hateable now - even by our own fans. We now have a TEAM of hard working, if not high profile, players with a passionate manager rather than a bunch of talented ego maniac piss heads managed by the most miserable twat alive.

Just caught the end of el Clasico. Standard Pepe assault on a player within a minute of me turning it on.

That Alves goal though. Fuck a duck. Bing bang bong bosh. Pick that out of your face Mourinho.

Robbed off today's Mediawatch:

Minnows

Let the patronisation of Cardiff begin. Said Steven Gerrard: "It's going to be the game of their lives. They're going to be right up for it. They are going to play at a level they've not played at before so it's important that we don't drop our standards."

Year Liverpool last in a major final: 2007.

Year Cardiff last in a major final: 2008.

I'd hate to think that's it's already a done deal. We still have to beat a team and thinking like that is really annoying. Add to last night's commentary 'to think last year Liverpool went out to lowly Northampton!'. Knob.

I think it's maybe a poor choice of words, but he's really just emphasising the fact that we can't just turn up and expect to win, and then put out an absolute shambles of a game like we did against Bolton.

So Harry Redknapp has told the court today he has "a big problem' with writing. I can't fill a team sheet in, I have never written a letter. I write like a two-year-old", along with "I'm most disorganised person in world. I can't work a computer, don't know how to email. Never sent a fax or even text message".

So his defence is that he's a complete moron basically..and this is the man who's going to manage England next. Christ.

He writes regular columns for the Sun.

Not only does this make him a liar it makes him even more of a scummer, if at all possible.

Hopefully not a repost (couldn't see it) but Del Piero scored his first goal of the season for Juve against Roma and it was a beaut. A classic Del Piero curler into the top corner. My favourite player of all time.

Del Piero Zone ^_^

Edit: He had a great match too, if he keeps playing like that they're going to have to offer him another year!

He's angling for a move to Los Angeles Galaxy or New York Red Bulls, apparently, but only Montreal Impact have shown any interest. He might find his only option is to re-sign with Juventus. I wouldn't mind seeing him give the Premier League a crack, he'd be a nice fit for Wigan or QPR perhaps.

(He's not going to live in Wigan, is he?)

I doubt he'll be at Juve next year, they announced at the board meeting in November last year it's his last season at Juve. Slight rubbish way to end one of Juve's greatest players career at the club. I hope he comes to the MLS so I can see him play in the flesh.

LA Galaxy have their 3 "Designated Players" already - Beckham, Keane and Donovan. They've said they're keen to get Frank Lampard in if they're able to get decent money for Donovan, so I don't think Del Piero ends up in Los Angeles. New York have Henry and Marquez and have said they'd like a decent "Number 10" as their third Designated Player, so I guess there's a chance we see him end at New York, but I don't think they're too bothered really.

Would he consider going somewhere else in Serie A, or has he ruled that out?

Interesting. My local team is the Vancouver White Caps so I'd love him to go to any MLS team so I could go watch. Tickets are super cheap for the White Caps cos nobody gives a damn.

I'd assume he's a Juve only man in Serie A and I'm sure he's said he'd only be interested in a foreign experience.

Anyway, loved that goal he scored. He's said on his site that it's the first goal he scored in the 'new' stadium and it's so fitting it's his trademark style finish as well. Reminded me why I love footy. Class player.

Classic FIFA 12 goal. Lucky break of the defender then finesse shot into the top corner.

FA Cup final is 5th May this year source - the same day as a full programme of Premier League games. Why? I mean last year it was because UEFA required the stadium to be free for two weeks before the Champions League final is hosted there (so same thing next year) but what is the reason this year?
