So who is going to play these three games for the club, seeing as it has no players?

They have 9 registered senior players. Any sacked player can still play for the club on non-contract terms, so they'll use those and draft in youths as well who will be more receptive to returning.

Fascinating ElClasico!

Barca full back pushes on, Ronaldo left one on one with Piqué and Pinto makes a hash of it.

Aside from that some awful offside decisions against Barca. And Pepe is not just a dirty bastard but a diving, play acting coward.

Didn't something like this happen a few years ago? They played their youth team and got beat 9-0 or something stupid.

I think that was Weymouth, who had a few weeks of getting spanked mercilessly until they were able to relegate themselves to a couple of leagues below the Conference.

Victoria Beckham re-signs David to LA! More Galaxy for the sexy bastard.

After 3 years of hovering between useless, injured and average for Los Angeles, he was actually very good in MLS last season. I think he might have another decent season left in him. Beckham, Donovan and Keane did a good job towards the end of the season. Looking forward to seeing them together again. I fully expect to see Didier Drogba turn up in MLS in the summer - probably not with Los Angeles though.

Fuck me he's a cunt.

They've gotta ban him for that stamp.

So many times I've seen these big teams held up as icons of greatness, but time and time again they show themselves as total disgraces where fair play means fuck all and cheating is the biggest 'skill' on show.

I agree, LA were a great team last year. Maybe Drogba will sign for the Rapids  (as if)

Season starts on March 10th, Rapids have Columbus at home. I have a season ticket this year :)

I'm sure i'm being completely ignorant here but why are people so angry with premier league teams because Darlington are going out of business?

Mainly because of shitty board management the club is about to go under after 100+ years. Some people feel that whilst it isn't really their business the rich clubs should help out the struggling clubs like Darlo. Just a few small donations from the likes of Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool etc could help save this club.

Basically the fans are being punished because of George Reynolds mistakes and for him spending money on a stadium thats way to big for their position and support.

I live 20mins from Darlo and know a hand full of fans who are tearing their hair out and just looking for a bit of support from somewhere and some people think the rich clubs should do more to help out. I haven seen any of the fans say this, more the media.

Pepe is a disgrace. He should be off the field for that.

I came in to post the same. He was bad enough in the first half and he just got worse.

I was going to say I felt justice was done considering his antics, yet both teams were laying it on thick at the end.

Still his tag as a horrible piece of work has only been strengthened by tonight's display.

It really disappoints me how these games start off so well then it gets to the 70 minute mark and every time it becomes like a bad joke. Bad tackles flying in all over the place, play acting, pestering the referee.

I just don't see why both teams have to resort to these same tactics every time, I know Madrid are a lot worse for it but Barcelona have a fair share to answer to as well.

I feel for the fans, i really do. I can't imagine ever losing the club i love.

But if the big clubs stepped in to save Darlington, it would create utter pandemonium. Lower league clubs would spend more beyond what they can afford safe in the knowledge that if it all goes tits up, richer clubs could offer them hand outs to pay for their mistakes. And why should Darlington receive free money when the clubs around them are doing more to balance their books than they are?

It's something that frustrates me into the football league too. Any club that attempts to keep debts and spending to a realistic minimum usually slips down the league, while clubs that spend beyond their means climb tables and get to the brink of bankruptsy knowing that banks will go easy on them because they're a football club.

But looking at some of the fans on twitter they seem more angry at Manchester United for not giving them some money for no other reason than them playing the same sport as they are than the owner that ran their club into the ground.

I never want to see a club go into liquidation, but i think it's important to remember that these are businesses and should be treated as such.

If a team gets on top of Barcelona it's not long before they'll start stacking the deck in their favour. Its difficult to remember the amount of times I've been left with a bitter taste in my mouth after sitting through their games. People should save the ridiculous 'best team ever!' tags for players who aren't such a pack of cheats. More than a club my eye.

Frankly you expect it of Madrid though as they're like a squad of super villains. That's basically all they exist for.
