first time since launch I couldn't get on yesterday and fired up this morning to a town full of greying flowers - most distressing - so much so I've immediately enacted the beautiful town ordnance, repealing night owl.

be interesting to see how much efforts the occupants put into this as would be great to be saved my daily 10-15m round of flower watering, which is the only thing I find a tad grindy. If their efforts are anything like bell collection for public works I'll get one flower a day watered

I never water all my flowers, I just go around and water the grey ones as I'm looking for fossils and stuff. Am I doing it wrong?

not wrong but I don't want miserable looking dying flowers in my town - only way to gtee that won't happen is water them all every day.

its the proper OCD way of doing it, plus they all have to be lined up by type/colour

If anyone needs a genuine piece of art, Redd is in my town and has one genuine piece left (amazingly he had two genuines on him)

Not sure what time he stays until/

I Redd (hoho!) he always has two fake and two real.

Not that I've checked. He's still not been to my town.

I got too hot so I switched back to my regular clothes. Pinky scares me now

I worry about how often I quickly go on this when there are people around and end up laughing to myself at the stuff my villagers say.

It's only ever one genuine I believe. Well, that's what I've read and that's how it has been each week for me

Definitely had two genuine ones today here. I bought one (which is known to not have a fake) and checked the other on google and it is genuine as well. Pity they limit how many you can buy.

Got a cracking little pocorn stand today as well. Looks great in my cluttered tiny house :)

Does it have to be at 3:32am? I'm anxious to find out, but probably won't bother to stay up that late.

Also, my top tip for the Bug Off: save your butterflies. Butterflies seem to always earn the most so if you want to collect the bug furniture, keep your butterflies until the end and use the other insects to raise the first place score by only a few points every time.

Nope. There were (at least) three when he last visited my town. Two I could identify; Girl with a Pearl Earring was wearing a red headscarf, and the Nike of Samothrace had bat wings. So I bought the Blue Boy painting, which I assumed was genuine since there were already 2 clearly fake ones, but on closer inspection by Blathers the boy wasn't carrying a hat in his hand. Alas, bells had already changed hands, and poor Stevie ended up b3.492 poorer :(

I'm sure Redd had two genuines when he came to Yottwick on Thursday, Mona Lisa which I had already bought (but gave another inspection) and the Milkmaid by Vermeer, which I somehow recognised.

There was a brilliant fake which I should have bought the other week though, it was the Japanese one of the head and shoulders of the chap with the heavy (presumably) Noh make up on, in full old school regalia but he had double finger guns on the go :)

Although I'm probably going to be shown up and that's what the original looked like but I didn't think finger guns were a big thing in feudal Japan.

You have to know what the painting looks like, in the manual it says what they all, so you can google them to double check. So far I've only had very famous paintings so only been stitiched up once on Japanese one that I thought I recognised but clearly didn't. Althuogh Redd has only been three times so it's not like I'm some sort of art expert.
