1) Plant a sole bamboo shoot

2) Don't worry about the additional shoot that it produces a couple of days later

3) Don't worry about the additional shoot THAT produces a couple of days later ...

4) Start to worry about all these additional shoots, and dig one up to plant somewhere else

5) Have multiple additional bamboo shoots growing EVERY SODDING DAY

6) Realise that you will never again be able to relax through fear that your town will become an entire forest of fucking bamboo

Why couldn't you have posted this before 7:46 this morning?

Opening my gates for a bit if anyone wants to sell perfect pears. I'm at work so might not be around, but will try to keep an eye out in case of Resetti. Help yourself to any fruit, shop items etc, but please don't RUN!

Thanks Squigs, I got 72,000 bells for 12! I left you a little present near the bulletin board. :)

Heh, I was gonna mention this. Bamboo (in real life) is the biggest pain in the arse to get rid of. They send out runners everywhere, they're a nightmare. As soon as I heard about them in AC I thought fuck that, what if they're like that in the game... :(

I believe you can impede the growth of bamboos by surrounding the area with floor tiles.

Not quite the best price but turnips are currently being bought at b306 each in Megaton. I've opened my gates for a few hours. Will be switching off at 19:30. I'm around sporadically but, if you say Hi & I don't respond, I'm probably off somewhere so don't be offended. :)

I have, as soon as Nana moved out I built a face-sign thing on the empty patch. Then next time Hibiscus were available on the island I bought about 30 of them and laid them out in a nice square, walling off one of the beach exits. Unfortunately the ones nearest the cliff and house dies so there are gaps, but it still makes for a nice garden. :)

Just like IRL.

So Köln has had a bit of a facelift this evening.

I've repurposed the flower field to along the riverside to make the town nicer throughout. This also leaves me with a great spot for the upcoming Köln Police Station tomorrow.

Thanks to the "Turnipgeddon" yesterday I'm banking.

Now for the real stuff... The Reddit AC group have been touting this 'bug' for a while. I tried it today and it worked.

In order to get a villager to suggest a new PW project you usually have to be patient, but if you do the following you can generally spur a ! and they'll likely suggest something.

1. Empty your pockets.

2. Empty as much money as possible too

3. Equip your wetsuit

4. Swim until you get stung by a jellyfish

5. Head back to land and walk around. You (should) get a ! from a villager. If not try it a couple of times.

After I've built something, two villagers always come up to me and suggest something they'd liked built.

What do you guys mean with "having a villager come up to you to suggest a Public Works Project"? Isn't everything you'd want/need to build available at the Town Hall?

Villagers will periodically suggest new things to build. I had someone suggest an illuminated tree today, adding it to my list of available Public Works Projects.
