I just went in one day and he had a little thought bubble above his head. I'm pretty sure it was right after I donated the first painting, so it might be donating one of each thing?

This happened to me this morning :)

But it had nothing to do with paintings, I think it happens after you've donated so many things.

the police station is a normal public work that a villager will suggest. dont think there is a specific way to get it.

i'm now getting things planned properly in my town. some paths gone down, i just need to build some street lamps to stop any potential villagers cocking up my plans. i think its all coming along quite nicely though. :)

also have the psychic in my town today. i'll be open this afternoon if people want to visit her.

My native fruit is apples but I think I must have chopped the only 'perfect' one down if one ever existed.

Isabelle gave me an orange early on and I have a nice line of them growing in my town.

ah, you can only grow perfect versions of your native fruit. i have oranges.

It was pointed out earlier in the thread that the game's manual provides a list of the works' original name and artist. A quick Google search will bring up some images for you to compare.

Only one of the pieces Redd has for sale is authentic and I found it much more rewarding to read a Wiki/art gallery description about it rather than use a guide for the sake of expediency.

The differences are quite marked, so you should be able to figure it out in a few minutes and also get a little bit of art history lodged in your head.

:)

I sold my 'nips in my mum's town for 185 bells. I was holding out for higher, but I'd spent all the bells I had saved up on them and would rather make a small profit then risk losing it all. Still made 300,000 profit though.

I also checked the price of selling my perfect oranges in my mum's town, 3000 bells each! I have about 15, so I think I'll plant all of those and keep accumulating them.

There are still errors that occur even if both people have static IPs set...I suspect it's related to the model of router not playing very nicely with Nintendo consoles.

Since I've got rid of my netgear router, online has worked really well.

I've got a spare but I'm not really going to be able to open my gates til the evening.

EDIT: An Axe that is.

I'm now attempting to stagger my orchard maintenance otherwise I have all my fruits out at once and if I do a clear out, bugger all trees in a certain area for a few days, which I don't like the look of.

Does anyone know if they have that tree happiness rating type thing that was in the GC and DS versions? It was to do with how many trees you had in a certain 'square' - it came from the flick screen versions before hand and there was an ideal amount of trees per each of these squares.

I'm sure it was from the town happiness tree thing but my tree in my square I can't interact with and the satisfaction rating just seems to be related to the public works.

What router you using now?

I'm simply using the Virgin Wifi Super Hub now. When I first had that installed I used it as just a modem and kept my old router and wifi access point netgear stuff up and running. I'm now using the superhub and the netgear access point as a wifi repeater upstairs. Before I did this I couldn't visit certain people's land in AC and now I can.
