Good morning everyone and welcome to the San Dimas News Network. Today's top stories:

:: Opening of San Dimas's hot new nightspot Club LOL gets lukewarm reception. Not even top folk musician-turned-DJ KK Slider could attract the locals at the grand opening last night. After a week of preparation and a hefty b1.5m investment, club owner and ex-comedian Dr Shrunk was said to be "devastated". Sole attendee, local Mayor Kerumba, was reportedly seen leaving in the small hours of the morning. :: New fashion store Kicks opened early this week, selling footwear to the town. The only one of it's kind, some may say it's a 'sole' trader. Aha. :: Weather report - freak rainstorms have hit the town. Residents are advised to stay indoors as the rain seems to have brought pitfall seeds with it. :: Rail disruptions continue to plague the Nintendo Rail Network, causing commuter chaos. Rail spokesperson a Mr Resetti of New Jersey was unavailable for comment. :: And finally, local fitness aficionado Bam is said to be gathering signatures in his attempt 'to bring martial arts to the masses.' The Mayor is believed to be supporting this initiative and will be visiting neighbouring towns this evening to gather names. I guess that's how some folks like to get their 'kicks'. Oh dear me. ::

How do you get the silver implements? Also, how do you display your designs in Ables?

Silver implements are available from the museum once you get the 2nd floor and have donated a certain number of items.

Just click on one of the mannequins in the middle of the shop.

I got my silver shovel and switched to using that and for two days I got gems from the money rock. But yesterday in was plain old cash again. I don't get it either.

Do the silver rod or net do anything special?

Pretty sure that every day there is one money rock and one gem rock. So you should be looking for both.

I know there's one with a single gem in it and another with bells, but a couple of days my bells rock gave 8 gems instead? Or do you mean there's one of those 8 gem rocks as well as an 8 bell rock? Rock.

Also, I was giddy with glee in Club lol last night. How can something so stupidly simple be so amazing? Does he sample the town tune at one point?

Arrgh, sorry, got engrossed in finishing The Last of Us yesterday & forgot to check back. I'll get it ordered today & arrange to meet up tomorrow if that's okay? I'll have the Side Lamp & Bed please. Is the table called the Modern Wood Table? If so, I won't need that as I already have it, cheers.

As an aside; TO ALL AC PLAYERS! Can you make sure that you've updated the AC Googledoc Spreadsheet in the 1st post with all your details please? It makes it easier to know who is who, where is where & what we're all after :)

OK, no problem, I'll buy another set of those things for you... the table is a modern sideboard iirc, whatever it is, it's definitely a 'modern' and not a 'modern wood' and it isn't just the 'one square' table (which I have too) or the side table / drawers.

I've got a work away day tomorrow so might only be on really late in the day (or not at all) but either way, I'll have it somehwere.

Has anyone worked out or tried to send mail to their in game BF's? I've got a few people added as BFs but keep on forgetting to try and send them a letter, which would make this sort of trading a hell of a lot easier.

EDIT: Incidentally, as bubble and modern is also relatively popular and I've now got some extra rooms on the go, I'm also looking for anything robo after finding a lamp and table in streetpass houses. WIll update the spreadsheet accordingly.

EDIT EDIT: @LyricalDonut I see that you're looking for arcade cabinets according to the spreadsheet, I've got the arcade cab which looks like mario & Luigi are in Street Fighter, the tabletop cabinet and a pinball table if you've not got any of those.

As far as I know you can't send letters to people on your BF list. Well I couldnt work out how to.

Didn't appear to be an option available.

Cool, no worries. It's not urgent. I've ordered the stuff so will keep it for when we're ready :) Oh, & I'll have one of those sideboards please.

I missed out on the Stalk Market last week because Glastonbury, and now I realise I'm off to New York on Tuesday AM meaning my clock is going to be all screwy for the week. All my projects are so behind schedule *sob*. Should have wifi in hotels there so hopefully I'll be able to get a good price at some point.

I am willing to pay way over the odds for the SF cab since I've done quite well out of Sweaty's turnip price :)

the gems seem to be items that the bloke who wakes up in re-tail can do something with - he's spotted my gold in my pockets and said if I gave him 3 he'd make something, but I'm stuck on only having 2, got piles of the other colours building up.

I suspect, but don't know, that he'll make you something special out of it to delight and amaze visitors in your house !

They were my present from the post office for saving 100,000 bells. Not quite sure I was QUITE as excited about that prospect as they seemed to be implying I should be.
