***PSN & SOE Compromised - Problems with Welcome Back? Help & FAQ - Post #1***

Oh FFS! I hit Wipeout HD and then download all so it was trying to download Wipeout HD twice and the welcome back thing has disappeared from the store. I've deleted the duplicate Wipeout HD from the pending download list

Does anyone know if the welcome back thing come back once it's finished Wipeout and works out I haven't downloaded 2 free games or will I have to contact Sony?

Try doing what it says under the 'I no longer have the option to choose my free Welcome Back games. What can I do?' question in the first post.

I picked one of the free PSP games and left it downloading this morning and went to work, now I'm back when I go back into the store and the Welcome Back bit it's blank and I can't pick my second freebie. Any idea?

Ok, slightly different to the above couple of posts.

I went on the other day and confirmed that I wanted inFamous but didn't download it straight away, I went on tonight to try to download WipEout and as with most others, the offer had disappeared, so I followed the instructions and went to services, free PS3 games and then selected WipEout and set it downloading, when it finished I noticed it only said WipEout HD Fury but I installed it anyway thinking that it was a little weird but I think it literally was just the expansion. If I go to my download list I have WipEout HD Fury Expansion and WipEout HD Full Game unlock but not WipEout HD itself. I have tried setting the unlocker downloading yet.

If I go back to services I can WipEout HD as an entry and listed within it are WipEout HD full game unlock - entitlement and WipEout HD trial control - entitlement, both of which only show me their start date when I select them. WipEout HD doesn't seem to be listed in the store for me either in the full games section, just Fury and that has the little red PS bag showing that I've bought it.

Any ideas anyone?

Sorry - I posted that from my iPad and it sort of did that double post protection thing whereupon I saw that answer. It didn't look like my post actually went through so I thought I got away with it. But it did and now I look like a massive bell end.

Fury & HD all combine together. Maybe try starting the game, whereupon this would all become clear.

That's what I thought at first but after installing the download there's no option for WipEout in the XMB.

Do you have 2 PS3s? I had the same issue but think it may because I started downloading Wipeout HD, Fury and the Unlock on my first machine. Next day, when I went to download it on the downstairs machine, I could only pick Fury and the Unlock thing. I'm not sure if it's because I hadn't finished donwloading the original Wipeout HD on my first machine. God knows. There was no sign of it under the transaction management route or previous downloads. Only searching the store found it and downloading it from there didn't work anyway. I'll let you know if I find anything that sorts it.

No, I've just got the one PS3, I'll mess with it a bit more tonight and see if I can work it out or see anything.

This also happened to me. The steps in the OP didn't help either. Go to Account Management>Transaction Management>Download List and search to see if you downloaded the Wipeout HD demo. It seems the demo has the option of unlocking the full game. Don't know if this was confusing things. I re-downloaded the demo, the activation key and Fury pack and it unlocked the full game. Hope that helps. :)

this doesnt seem to be working at all for me. When I press X on the on the Welcome Back box on the main screen it goes to another screen with a small playstation plus box to the right and another big welcome back box on the right - when I press X on the big box for welcome back nothing happens at all.

I'm loathe to ring sony on a 0870 number

Does anyone know whats wrong?

EDIT

sorted now - just needed to read the OP

Anyone now how I can recover my PSP account from my busted Go and use it on my 3000 to get some free games?

This may have been covered in the thread somewhere but I can't see any mention of it in the OP or the last 10 pages so I'll ask.

If a family has multiple PSN accounts on a single PS3 (all created before the cut off date), will each family member be able to choose their own 2 free PS3 games or is it a case of 2 games per PS3 machine?

2 per account.

Oh this is good news. With 2 PS3s in the house and each of them with multiple accounts in multiple regions, I should be able to get rather a lot of these free games on offer.

I wonder though, once a game is claimed and downloaded, does in 'lock' to the PS3 it was downloaded on by any chance?. Do you think I'd be able to, say, download Infamous on one PS3, log into the same PSN account on my other PS3 and and download Infamous onto that too?

You should be able to, it will be available in the downloads tab which can be accessed via the Store. A word of warning though, it will probably count as one of your shares. (in case you don't already know, most PSN games can be shared up to fives times over five different machines (including yours), but there can be restrictions with a game 'locking' for 24hrs if used on another machine. I'm not sure, but I think that applies to full PS3 titles (so Infamous would come under this) and select PSN titles that have online mulitplayer or it might just apply to games with online.)

That was it, thanks. I'd downloaded the WipEout demo about 2 years ago so I had to go way down my list to find and then re-download it but it's all working fine now. Thank you again.

Burnout Paradise PSN (via PS+ subscription). I'd never played this before...it is better than the hype! AWESOME!

As I'm likely to want to buy the boxed version (with all the DLC) once my PS+ sub expires do you think my save file will be compatible with the disk version? I know it sounds silly but it is marked "Burnout Paradise PSN" so I'd hate to think it would differentiate.

Also - will I then be able to uninstall the PSN version and just play off the disk? Will the patch uninstall then? (took ages to download). GAH!

Burnout Paradise saves will not migrate from disc to PSN and vis versa, unfortunately it's the same with all disc/digital games as far as I know. This is something that needs fixing.

I haven't played it in ages but AFAIK I think Burnout Paradise is a mandatory install anyway (please correct me if I'm wrong). Not only that, but (if you buy the original disc version) you have to download the patches to play it online.
