Okay so I changed my password for my main account but I get errors when I try my US and UK ones. The problem is my purchases are all through my US one... :unsure:

Have Sony found another way to fuck me over?

Signed in to PSN for me now, seems fine. Are we getting free games or something for this downtime? I dont see anything about it on PSN

We're meant to be getting two free games from a choice of five and a month's free access to PlayStation Plus. There's also supposed to be some form of identity protection package too, but they have yet to announce the details for the European market. Presumably there will be more about exactly what will be available when the store is launched, or at least nearer the time that they're confident enough to announce the release date for that.

Ah right so, i didnt realise the store wasnt back up. On the plus side, i did discover i can watch online porn on my ps3s web browser tho! So swings and roundabouts :lol:

I think it's gone down again. I've been trying to update my password and it keeps failing.

Yeah, it's down for me too. After a few attempts at changing my password followed by error messages, all I get now is:

"Playstation Network is currently undergoing maintenance".

Enough already.

Ah right, don't worry you're not alone. A lot of people are starting to complain about receiving the same error code. Not sure what's causing it, it might be a server issue because of the volume of people all signing in. Try again in a few mins.

If you buy Portal 2 on the PS3 then you get a digital copy for the PC/Mac for free by linking your PSN and Steam accounts. It's nothing to do with the PSN downtime.

But not the other way around I take it?

We should find out more about the free games later today, we were supposed to find out yesterday...

Apologies guys, but it looks like there has been a slight delay in finalising the welcome back programme and it should be tomorrow when we can share the details with you. Right now our priority is making sure PSN is stable for you.

Did you check your spam folder? Mine always end up in the spam folder... :sherlock:

They were always going to be downloadable titles, but those titles could (probably won't) include the PS3 titles that are currently available through the PSN store. (Prince of Persia Trilogy, Borderlands, God of War Collection, etc, etc)

If Sony have any sense, at least one of the free titles will be Warhawk...perfect way to build some hype for the sequel.

There have been a few complaints about this, it's pointless waiting for that email.. try this instead.

You'd have to be stupid to think they're gonna send out over 200 million boxed games for nothing. Downloadable games will be much cheaper for them to give away.

I'd love flower. The demo was amazing. I wouldn't mind Pixeljunk Shooter 2, but I mostly want Wipeout HD. I own no PS3 games other than Yakuza 4, Noby Noby Boy and Pixeljunk Shooter so it's pretty likely they'll be games I don't own.
