So how do I get a new password so I can sign in?

Attempt to sign in via your PS3 and you'll be taken to a page where you'll be asked to enter a new password (of your choosing). After doing this, you'll be able to log in as normal. If, for any reason this doesn't happen, it should give the option to send an email with a password reset link to the email address linked to your PSN ID.

Update the console and then sign in to the dashboard as normal, then go to PSN and sign in with your old password. You'll get a message saying it is no longer valid and it prompts you to enter a new one and confirm it. Pick a new one, remember it and carry on as before. It's just taken me several (read, A LOT of) attempts to get it to go through without a server timeout or another error code, but it finally let me. Now though, the PSN store isn't accessible for me still and neither is Account Management it would seem...

The Store won't be accessible for a while longer, the wanted to get the basic service up and running again before dealing with the Store, but it should be up before the end of the month.

Account management should be accessible though, it was for me a while ago.

Already updated. Tried to sign in and get a message saying it's no longer valid and I need a new one, press OK and get error 80710D36.

Ah right, don't worry you're not alone. A lot of people are starting to complain about receiving the same error code. Not sure what's causing it, it might be a server issue because of the volume of people all signing in. Try again in a few mins.

Apologies I couldn't be of more help.

Yeah, I got that a lot. Just keep retrying it and you'll eventually get through. You might go grey before that happens, but you will get through eventually.

Cool Sarge, it did say it was still down for maintenance, ut the Account Management is crapping out with an error code. I'll keep plugging away. I guess those who can download Portal 2 for PS3 via Steam need to have a Steam account on the PC and stick it on a memory stick?

Got my email earlier, so sorted my main account... now getting errors trying to sign in on my EU and US accounts, getting 80710D36 or 'under maintenance'. It'll settle down soon I guess.

Ah shit anyone remember how to link up your EA Sports account and PSN ID? I have the same email and new password on both, but Fifa 11 is saying it cannot connect. EA Servers down for PS3?

EDIT: Oh FFS - Seems it because the Store isn't back up so the game cannot check/confirm your EA Online pass. So no online EA sporting action until the end of the month then.
