The Peacock and Gamble Podcast

Been a big fan of Ray and Ed since the original Ray Peacock Podcast they did with Raji James of Eastenders and East is East fame. Far better is the Peacock and Gamble podcast, which can be found here: http://www.chortle.co.uk/raypeacock/raypeacockpodcast.xml.

It's stupid, juvenile and offensive, but by golly is it funny. Anyone else been a long time fan?

Yes, yes, yes!

I've mentioned it three or four times in the podcasts thread but no-one has ever replied!

My favourite bits have been the fraser letters (which stopped just before they got stale, perfectly), the episode where Ed did the 70s porno starring Lara Croft, Mother Theresa etc, and best of all the Peter Kay episode ("Garlic phone?!") which I've listened to about six times. There have been countless excellent bits, though.

I've been driving on the motorway in tears from this podcast, and this is someone who very rarely cries with laughter.

High five, brother.

All that said, it'd faded since about episode 50. I also hate how Ray can be so overbearing at times, Ed is getting funnier and funnier and I get the impression Ray hates being upstaged. He's very self-centred.

The first 30 or so episodes were pretty much non stop brilliance, though. I descovered them about four months ago and the huge backlog for me to catch up made my long commute an absolute joy and I'd be counting down the minutes for work to finish.

I love Peacock and Gamble - only discovered Ray when the missus was watching a Saturday repeat of Russell Howard and he was on the extended stand-up bit. A little googling later and I stumbled across the podcast - splendid!

It really is a top show - and yes, there's been a little lull in previous episodes, but it's back to awesome at the moment with Ed's film synopsis segment. I think the fact they've been really busy with the Emergency Broadcast live show (which we've seen twice, both were bloody mental) took a bit of energy out of the podcast, but they're back on form now.

I’ve just had to turn the podcast off, as I’m genuinely becoming faint with attempting to stifle my laughter here at work! Thanks to Skunko, Timmo & Michael for the recommendation!

If you like Adam & Joe then I think you’ll love this. It’s just 2 blokes chatting about everything and nothing, I can’t believe I’ve never heard of them before.

The letter to the marshmallow company in episode 2 had me in tears! What a great podcast.

If you like the two blokes chatting format then I couldn't recommend the Carl Donnelly and Chris Martin podcast. Just like the kind of random shit that inevitably gets talked about when mates get together. Well worth a listen.

Has anyone ever seen Ray Peacock live? Absolutely hilarious. The first time I caught him he was alongside Andrew Lawrence doing a character performance then the second it was just straight stand-up. He did an impression of Jordan's son Harvey that had me in stitches

Uh oh... I think Timmo is in trouble, judging by Ray's twitter feed this morning...

I hate Twitter and don't understand it. Where is this?

If he can't take the criticism from my overwhelmingly positive post then it's a real shame. Ray/Ian - I love you, you big idiot. I also realise you're a character and not like that in real life.

Edit - Found it. Thanks for calling me a cunt, mate. I've recommended you to a ton of people and you've left a pretty bitter taste in my mouth.
