GTA V and PES 2013 timed exclusives? Really?

I don't know about PES, but GTA doesn't seem totally unlikely to me.

First things first - there's no reason GTA won't be on a Nintendo console. The games have been missing in the past not because of Nintendo's reputation but because of technical limitations. The N64 was on cartridge, the GameCube's discs were too small, and the Wii was obviously underpowered. Chinatown Wars proves that Nintendo has no idealogical problem with Rockstar. If the next GTA is in development for the current gen systems (as opposed to the "proper" next gen ones) it will come out on the Wii 2. Why wouldn't it?

As for exclusivity, it's not outside of the realm of possibility that Nintendo have thrown some cash at RS. After MS's $50 million blowout, I doubt they or Sony are going to be footing the bill for such a thing, but if Nintendo are serious about this hardcore gamer thing, I think they might give it a try. It would almost certainly "win" them E3 if they did, even if it was only exclusive for a short time.

So, I'm not saying it's going to happen, or even is likely. But I think people are unfairly dismissing this idea out of hand.

Has this been mentioned?

http://spong.com/article/24384/Nintendos-Next-Console-Leaked-in-Alleged-Conference-Video

A video is circulating the internet that allegedly shows off Nintendo's next console, codenamed Project Café. The clip was uploaded to Youtube as part of an alleged "leak" of a "private developer conference."

Although there's no sound on the video, diagrams of a console and controllers with a touchscreen interface are clearly displayed. A prototype of said console is apparent on a desk in front of the conference audience (circled in red).

Is it legit? Who knows. People are known to do some stupidly crazy stuff in the run up to E3 - we wouldn't be surprised if this whole 'conference' was a setup and the entire video was fake. Watch the video below and let us know what you think - rumours surrounding Nintendo's next console will no doubt circulate right up to the minute the company unveils the machine at E3.

That story has been picked up everywhere now. It does look like a lot of effort to go through just for a few youtube hits. Making a fake presentation full of mockups, making a fake console itself, staging it etc. It's probably fake, but all the same, seems like a bit of a job to set up.

It's one person stood in front of a projector showing images grabbed from the internet, with one person visible in the audience (plus one doing the filming on a phone). The object on the desk could be anything given the poor quality of the video. I reckon it'd take about 5 minutes to fake.

It's also quite clearly a classroom and not any sort of office, given the standing-height tables..

Rumor_Control.jpg

"This is rumor control... here are the facts."

The controller for Nintendo’s new home console includes a front-facing camera system, a person close to the matter has told Develop.

The source also confirmed some, though not all, of the controller details that are already in circulation.

The new Nintendo console – widely dubbed the ‘Wii 2’ or 'Project Café' – will officially be unveiled at E3 in June, Nintendo said.

Its controller has for weeks been at the centre of intense speculation, and Develop understands Nintendo is not showing the tech to all development partners in a bid to curb leaks.

An insider said the Wii 2 pad features a front-facing camera that can be used for in-game images. The person also corroborated a number of well-referenced rumours, such as the controller features a six-inch touch-screen, “possibly with a stylus”, as well as a standard button layout.

:coffee:

I heard every console will contain a mini clone of Shigsy who will design you whatever game you ask for and do the voiceover work and sound effects as well. If you ask for a non-Nintendo game, however, mini clone Shigsy will run over a kick you in the nuts.

A front facing camera in the controller seems a nice idea. Can't f***ing wait to see this machine, think Cafe is a really catchy name for a console. Just hoping for a bit more grunt than the PS3 and online to rival Xbox Live and I'll be very happy. Wii games upscaled and Nintendo franchises at last in HD. Bring it on Shigsy!

That's the worst fake I've seen yet. It's just a woman, one person in the foreground and really back mock ups on a projector. It's looks like it was put together by a twelve year old.

putting my password into the PS3 last night - a wee touchpad is going to make that kind of stuff a lot easier and faster.

Just use your wireless USB keyboard.

Is that all? With such a modest list of desires I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
