Just finished another game. I feel more and more weights are being lifted after everyone i complete. Think i'll complete shenmue 2 on the xbox next, and then maybe a bit of banjo tooie which is my last N64 game that needs completing/playing. Most my xbox stuff is completed, then i'll go back to the couple of GC games ive got then finish off about 20 DC games.

Looking forward to it

I stacked crates for an hour in Shenmue. Then I put it back in its box and sold it on ebay.

You only had to stak crates for about an hour and five minutes in total! And then you had the really cool bit!

I have THIS MANY to complete on XBox over the Christmas Hols.

Don't get me started on Dreamcast.

Shenmue, Shenmue 2, Skies of Arcadia, Resident Evil: Code Veronica, Headhunter, Sonic, Sonic 2, the list goes on.

Plus all the non-adventue types like Ikaruga, Border Down, Alien Front, etc.

You lucky bastards have too many games and too much time on your hands. :D

I have many of the former, and not enough of the latter.

This leaves me with:

Viewtiful Joe

Silent Hill 3

Knights of the Old Republic

Golden Sun 2

Which is pretty good going, considering I've condensed that down from about 12!

Not buying games for ages rules! Try it!

I made a list of all the games I possess that I want to complete but haven't. It came to around 40. And that's just single player story driven games.

Add in multiplayer, racing, sports, beat um ups, shoot um ups, ones friends have i'm going to borrow and its up to nearly 80.

I reckon, taking into account how much (little) I play games i'll have finished them all by 2017.

I normally play a few hours at the weekends, unless its a game that really grabs me and i play it every night till completion. Otherwise i slowly work through them.

But skies of arcadia needs to be played, the best 50 hours of your life...EVER!

Still to be completed...

SSX 3

Tiger Woods 2004

Shenmue 2 (like everyone else on the forum it seems :D )

Panser Dragoon Orta's last 2 levels

Armoured Core 3

VF4: Evo

Project Gotham Racing

Timesplitters 2

JSRF

FFTA

Golden Sun

Then in a moment of weakness on Saturday afternoon I bought...

Metal Arms: Glitch in the System

Gregory Horror Show

XIII

On the positive note I recently completed Halo and KOTOR, and my girlfriend is away for a week so I should be able to get to grips with a few of the above.

IMO, games are too long. I like games like Ico, that only last 10 hours or so.

Not 2 short, not 2 long. Just enough to keep everything fresh and interesting.

Shorter games would decrease my backlog drastically :D

Oh yeah, that;s right.... FFT:A is on my to-do list as well.

But you'd have to REALLY invest in this one in order to finish it. 150 battles? Aaargh...

I'm starting to get back into FFTA again. It's getting quite good now. It's a brilliant little before-bedtime gaming snack which I can delve into an do a few battles every other night. It's not a game you have to take really seriously.

Ikaruga is still burning away most of my time though - christ it's been well over a year now. When will it cease? (Hopefully, never)

I agree, games are too long, its been documented that most people dont play beyond the 3rd level and 95% never reach the ending, which i can believe.

10 Hours id say is still pretty long for a game too, 5 hours is nice and compact, how often do you get to play a game for hours at a time? Or even want to?
