Finally caved and bought a Wii U (I know I should probably post this in the relevant thread but everywhere outside of here scares me). Think I may pop into Argos tomorrow and get Wonderful 101 as it's only £22 and I've heard good things. As it is with consoles, I forget that there are games to buy for it and games are 'spensive so I can probably only get one to last me until next month or so. Super Mario 3D World or Wind Waker HD, people? Baring in mind that I haven't played the latter.

I'd very much go for Super Mario 3D World because it is very, very good. Tough call if you haven't already played Wind Waker though, since that's also very, very good. I'd still say Mario. If I hadn't bought it digitally I'd have let you borrow my copy. NES Remix off the eshop is maybe worth looking into, depending on how much NES nostalgia you have.

I'm gonna be around for a few hours of Street Fighter in about 15 minutes, humans!

EDIT: Also, I'm very excited about the new Trials. I hope there's also new trials taking advantage of new tricks the existing cast have. I do love a combo or two.

Yeah, I'm leaning towards Mario. The Galaxy games were probably my favourite (non-Street Fighter) games of the last generation and the prospect of co-op in a house with four other gamers sounds delightful. But I enjoyed the latest Zelda so much it's got me itching to play Wind Waker because it looks lovely.

I'll get Mario.

Ha. Es who runs Manchester Battle Arena recently put a statement out saying that anyone who turns up to his events stinking will be turned away in future. We will see how realistic that sort of ruling is in time.

When I've been along before though and it's an SFIV night, I must say, it's not very welcoming.

Anyone else tempted by Soul Calibur II HD while it's on sale today? I still have the Xbox release (which I haven't touched since leaving university) so I'm only buying this one if at least one of you fellows also wants to play it.

I should probably just play VF5 instead.

I'll be around for Street Fighter later. I might play Guacamelee instead, since it's basically a far better Adventure Mode than Smash Bros managed itself. Plus there's a wee poster of dearly missed Manuel Calavera in it. :( It's pretty excellent.

Well, I'll be around for fights from nowish 'til 5.30 ish, so gimme a message or let me know on here if you fancy it dude. :)

I'll probably be packing yet more Transformers 'til then.

Five boxes full already, and still a load more to pack.

The gf and I have been slowly making our way through the final season of Arrested Development. I'm not really enjoying it despite enjoying the earlier seasons last year as a latecomer. What was the general consensus in here?

Also, my gf has just finished watching all 244 episodes of Frasier which she did over a two month period. If I hear that theme tune one more time I think I might self-destruct.

I enjoyed the last season of Arrested Development (I watched that entire season in a day with my wife* once it went up); I liked that the episodes were non-linear and I liked rewatching episodes with information from the others and spotting how they were interwoven in the background references and stuff. I also liked Tobias' puffy face.

I don't think it's as great as the first two seasons but I still absolutely love it.

Also I re-watched Series 7: The Contenders recently having not seen it in years and realised the slick TV Host guy is Will Arnett. Excellent.

*She wasn't my wife at the time. She wasn't anyone's wife as I recall.

Also, I got Dan up to 6500BP last night. 22nd XBL Dan in euroland! SAIKYO!! Still only the second highest rated Dan in Glasgow though; Damn that GLASGOW KEV.

I wanted to love it, and I want to rewatch and then love it, but I don't feel like I have the energy or time to watch it again. But then again I didn't like Guacamelee or To The Moon, so I'm probably just a monster.
