Guys I can't use steam chat while I'm playing because my PC is too bad sorry, it shows the messages popping up but I can't click on them :-(

Problem with rllmuk streams is we all just join the lobby!

My laptop is apparently dying so I think I'm going to duck out. I thought it was just weird lag but then Donut landed the most ridiculous combo while my screen was going crazy so I think it's just my machine overheating. GGs!

I'll probably just buy the PC version, providing it's not too far off and it's a reasonable price. It can go alongside Nidhogg when that's out later this year!

Joe, I'm sorry to inform you that a steambox is a new computer.

If we end up getting the new PC my partner keeps talking about then I'll be sure to offer one of you guys my old laptop. Nidhogg looks like it would run on a pocket calculator, though.

I am holding out hope that one of the various boxen will be a budget option. But then if I bought it, my laptop would be guaranteed to explode instantly due to sod's law.

Bah. My flatmate returning from Italy today has rendered my efforts at online play fruitless - sorry JLM. She is ill though, so streaming comforting TV should really take precedence over Street Fighter.

Earlier on the lack of good online led me back to trial mode for a while. Managed to finish Hakan's, it's weird how all his later trials are just links with normals rather than mad FADC shenanigans.

Edit: also, this appears to be page 994 of this thread. Surely when it reaches 1k there should be some kind of celebration/archival/new thread for Ultra (even though it's ages away and I'm starting to worry everyone might get so bored of the buildup that it'll be a massive disappointment)

That's cool. I was hoping to show you my new Bipson combo but it's ok because I done did it against allystah earlier and have saved a clip. Played for about 5 hours today as I was blessed with an empty house and a free Friday evening in for the first time in months. It was lovely.

Played some fairly srs bsns endless games against a 3700pp 16kbp Sagat player. Mostly beat him with Chun. Benners from SFO has drastically levelled up my vs. Sagat game and I find that most other Sagat players I face aren't as good as him. This XBL man was very obnoxious and was talking lots of trash during the games but sent me a friend request afterwards anyway. Odd.

Played some other randoms using my army of secondary characters too, which was lots of fun. Got an amusing perfect with Oni against a man who simply would not block on his wake up. Replay to follow.

Highlight of the evening was the looooong set against allystah though. Too many hype tings and comedy moments to list, but again I have a couple of replays on the way.

Very enjoyable evening of fightings to take my mind off my descent into madness caused by falling for my stupid lovely housemate. On that front, thanks to imp for the funny and morale-boosting New Year's Eve chat. Apologies for still being just about capable of answering my phone at 3am and thwarting your voicemail attempt.

In more sf news, my January schedule is now:

Sunday 5th: SFO house training day.
Sunday 12th: SFO pre-tournament casual session.
Saturday 18th: possible team jellistarr training session.

Sunday 26th: SFO monthly tournament. Teeside, Manchester, Sheffield and Bradford all traveling in numbers for this, plus the missing regulars from last time and four or five new faces. Should be the biggest tournament to date by some distance.More importantly I have a FT10 money match to win.

Also got a tournament at edge hill university in February and Hypespotting in March.

Keep pressing buttons and stop thinking about things all the time is the plan. Things are the worst.

Aww mate. Please be cautious falling for housemates: it wound me up into all sorts of knots a while ago, but that's because I made it all complicated. "Keep pressing buttons and stop thinking about things all the time" sounds like excellent advice to me, in a way.

Fun Fact: one of my flatmates looks exactly like Rose (exactly like the character select screen portrait), and the other is called Elena. Completely coincidental, but maybe I should just commit to this and try for a cosplay threesome.
