Wonderful games with everyone over the past few days. I loved seeing Ally starr's hilarious and effective new Rufus tech. I even honoured the rllmuk lobby tradition of falling for it mere moments after he explained to me exactly what this new tech was. Wonderful, secret tech. Fun seeing Iggy's new stooge in Bison too.

Camel's terrifying rushdown approach to Bison was causin' trub for ma new Street Fighter pal ParableGreg, who was at Tee Sports apparently. He's fae up in Aberdeen and has been travelling to a few tournaments with Adon. I hate Adon. Has a decent Dudley also.

I always feel a bit guilty when one of these local tourney types is in a lobby with me because they do all tend to be a bit more serious business than how I like lobbies to be. Also, I played and lost about one million times to GLASGOW KEV (his caps, not mine). His Ken is wild. He had the grace not to mirror match my Dan to death.

Also! Donut came online about half an hour ago and I got excited and he was playing SSFIV so I got more excited but then it was PC and I cried.

Is there a rumour about Capcom announcing the fifth Ultra character after the SFxT stuff at Capcom Cup today?

Just went to check the embargo and it's 9pm, haha. Here y'are:

In addition to the action-packed new features and the finely-tuned rebalanced gameplay, the new version will give players the opportunity to practice online with their fellow fighters in an Online Training Mode. Additionally, Team Battle Mode will bring 3v3 matches online where players can team up with their favorite world warriors to battle it out for online supremacy.

Joffo! I saw you and Qazi on the other night whilst viewing my friends list from GFWL and it made sad. So sad. Sith asked me for an invite earlier too, which was also quite upsetting.

Anyway, I have just spent 10 minutes bouncing training a training dummy around with EX Fukiage, I like.

The man in that video has also fiddled with Bipson and Gouken:

Ha, earlier today I was going to make a salty post because I went to look for lobbies to join recently and it seemed like everyone had jumped ship to PC already... :(

Hello friends, would you lovely fellows be so kind as to spoiler tag Capcom Cup results as I am not sure when I'll be able to watch it. Many thank yous.

I am so hype for online training mode. Still no mention of a quick rematch feature for online lobbies though. If that gets announced I wouldn't ask for anything else.

Also I played lots and lots of drunken Dive Kick with many of my friends this evening. It was good, though it's really odd playing with a bunch of people who have no knowledge of or interest in the FGC and therefore don't get any of the many extremely esoteric inside jokes in the game. I didn't want to bore them with explanations either, though I did recommend playing as Dive and Kick for the most part because the game is best played like that. Turns out they all agreed with me and pointed out that the simplicity of the game is the beauty of it. See, even casual players playing the game for the first time can spot that immediately. My own gripes with the game aside, it was a ton of fun playing it today and it slotted in nicely alongside Articulate and the other more traditional stuff we were playing. The transition from "this game is stupid" to fierce competition and shouting "OHHHHH!" in response to hype moments was pleasingly fast, and it was nice that all the non-gamer types could, ahem, dive in right away and be competent pretty quickly.
