Fun games with alistarr recently; as ever, I ranted loudly about how I haven't played this game in forever and have subsequently forgotten everyone's moves in the hope that I don't get exposed for the scrub that I am. :P My execution for everything has gone to shit but most of my deaths came from my own carelessness. Random select made things as interesting as ever, and there was one Yun/Yang match that was particularly daft. :D Even so, it's fun to play the fighting game again. More lobbies soon pls. :)

GGs to Joffo just now. Sorry if I was playing even more badly than usual - I'm off with a throat infection at the moment so feel pretty rough. Always nice to have an excuse. Felt pretty out of my depth against you and that ParableGreg fella but good fun regardless and always a pleasure to hear you chuckling away in a lobby.

Edit: I've decided I hate the input for Honda's ultra 1. I'm always fluffing it up.

Ggs Joe. I was playing those on a different TV than normal. I couldn't tell if it was more or less laggy. Would never have believed a few input frames either way could feel so odd. Nice to have a smooth connection with you though.

Also all of roses attacks going over ryu's cr.mk can bugger right off.

Anyway I'm probably done with online street fighting for the foreseeable future. Ggs all.

GGs Haggs and Ig! Very enjoyable sets, Rose vs Ryu and Bison mirrors respectively.

I felt similarly aggrieved that Ryu can just cr.mk under Rose's amazing st.hk, so it rubs both ways. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed that final scrap before you walk off barefoot into the sunset. :(

I like Bison mirrors a lot. Fullscreen down-back, headstomp duels, blocked safe scissor kick after blocked safe scissor kick. Also it turns out that me and Ig both prefer the exact same alt costume and colour. I was a little upset that I couldn't be shiny white robot dictator.

Have you tried Xpadder? The last freeware version is 5.3.

It should let you map your stick to keys.

Yeah, I have that too - managed to get it sorted with x360ce :)

And... then I cracked :(

I got bodied. It was laggy though, and playing it on the PC felt all 'weird' and that. That's what I'll be sticking to anyway.

If anyone's around for punchy things over the weekend, let me know. I'm Lyrical Donut on Steam too.

Hugo looks more useful there than he has in the other videos. Some ridiculous footsie normals and an excellent 50/50 off his forward dash. I appreciated the snackish in there too. The body splash really does look rubbish though.

Guys, anyone interested in a KidRobot vs Street Fighter Series 2 Yellow Chun Li? Already have a Chun so going to stick it on eBay unless anyone here is interested. Paid £7.99 so just looking to get that and will post for free. Let me know before Sunday otherwise I'll stick on eBay.

Love those Rose matches. Think I might have to give her a go. Hopefully will cure me of the SF blues I'm getting every time I use Ryu. Not being able to do simple things like FADCing into Ultra is really hacking me off and I'm beginning to think I need a new hobby.

That said, I had some ggs with Ig yesterday. I'm having the most fun with Honda at the moment and can semi-consistently do c.lp into heavy hands so there is that I suppose. Hit-confirming with c.lk before is another matter entirely. *hoiks nappy*

I've only been playing with mukkers lately but I've taken a back-to-basics approach to getting over my inability to use anyone but sim. I've been using Ryu as he's widely regarded as a good starting point and I've been trying simple combos. Fundamentals are ok-ish, but damaging combos? Nope. Simple FADC stuff? Fluffed 90% of the time. I've even used the training room. The training room!

Maybe Ryu is just not for me. Or any other character with anything but the most basic if combos.

Wah wah wah. Sorry for negative posts. I'm still ill so I think I'm just in a bad mood.

Awesome four hour set against Camel yester-eve. Love fighting your Honda dude. Don't be down on your SFing, fighting you is so much fun.

Thanks also to Joffo, Alistarr, Joe and Mr Donut for excellent games. 8+ hours against 5 Mukkers in 2days. What an amazing ride.

Noone around for while that night so opened an endless lobby and fought randoms. Including a guy called Hendrix67 who used to beat me easily with Random Select this time last year. Not this time dude! You want U2 on reaction to Sagat fireballs? You got it for two straight rounds FTW. He left after a few losses.

Still no ragemail though.
