Yeah, remembering to continue pressuring or confirm the hit when you're doing your OS takes quite a bit of practice. I've just about got into the habit of continuing my Dudley pressure off my main OS set up, but if I go for kidney blow OS ultra and they don't back dash then I very rarely keep the pressure on, which defeats the point of covering multiple options.

Had a lovely all day session at SFO house 2 yesterday, mostly playing Dudley. Getting the hang of the Smug corner set up now and nobody was blocking it.

My Wii U still isn't here though, just the games. This is the saddest thing.

Jump back MK and then the input for the slide (down towards roundhouse). Input the slide just as the MK should be hitting. If your MK hits or is blocked, the game will ignore your slide input. If the opponent isn't there to be hit because they did a back dash etc, your MK will whiff, you'll immediately land and then the slide will come out to chase them.

Yeah, you want to input back +MK and the slide almost simultaneously, then continue into grounded normal into yoga flame or grab etc. as necessary. The point is to continue to pressure (or indeed combo) as you normally would, but have the slide input in there just to cover their escape should it happen. The problem, as Fitzcarraldo mentions above, is that when you're learning how to use an OS like this it can be difficult to remember to carry on playing whilst also inputting the OS.

Oh, and to check if you're doing it correctly, do what the guy in the clip has done there; record Dhalsim performing the OS, then play it back and try to escape it using the other character. If you play it back and the slide comes out when you block then you've mistimed it during the recording.

Guys. I just finished Bioshock Infinite and am all freaked out. Brrr.

I still have Bioshock 1 on my shelf of shame. I'll get back to you in a couple of years.

All this Ultra stuff is very exciting. I wish Twitch was a better website, if I can watch Youtube in decent quality I should be able to watch archive streams without pausing and doing something else for a while so I can watch the next five minutes. Hugo looks ridiculous, he could be broken in either the good or bad senses. I'm most excited about Elena, I should hop on 3rd Strike OE to see how she feels. Zoning and gimmicks, hell yeah.

Need some fights this week. Had lovely long sessions with Camel and Jellum this week but missed everyone else unfortunately. I can be around pretty much any time this week, 'cept for monday evening, but still monday day and night. Would love to get some casuals, some FT10s, maybe some headsetted multi player lobbies? Just some wonderful streetfighting with you wonderful people.

If anyone is up for FT10 give me a day and time and we'll arrange.

Jellum- would love some runbacks against some of those characters. I'd really like to grind some matches out against Oni and Juri, amongst others. Match was laggy but also getting destroyed by Juri frame traps and I still don't really understand her at all.

Donut, Alistarr and Sith - missed you all this week. Would love to make up for it. Casuals or serious bidness would be excellent.

I may be able to join you towards the end of the afternoon shift, depends how long the next three hours end up lasting.

Hugo should take damage every time he blocks low because there's no way that's doing his knees any good. Same deal as with Dee Jay's throw.

sagat's high tiger shot passes right through hugo's head when he's crouching.

I saw that, it's kind of ridic. If he's that big, it kind of seems like it should hit him crouching, although I see that would make the Sagat matchup completely silly. Maybe they could give him a fast normal that lowers his hitbox.

Excellent FT10 with Donut.

Makoto 10 - 5 Guile

Actually fairly happy with this for a couple of reasons. A lot of rounds were really close, successfully used Guile High Kick and st.MP to AA her axe kicks several times, and after Donut won a couple I started panicking and getting frustrated, and gave away rounds with random FK and mashing cr.tech. However, after losing a match and a round this way I consciously made an effort to calm down and think, I did so and started thinking about what I was doing again.
