Wu. Difficult to pluralise with any kind of elegance, sure, but otherwise nice and tidy. Wu 1. Wu 2. Then if anyone discovers some crazy way to combine both we can call it a wu tang clancel.

Obviously wultra is better.

I love the line up for the B League. Kyoku's Yang, Sasaki's Cody, KoujiKOG's T. Hawk, Michael Tan's Ken and Wao's Oni. Lots of middle and low tier greatness in there alongside some of the more usual names.

Also here is the Smug vs OMH FT10. It is truly spectacular. Perfects, comebacks and more delicious technology than I could have hoped for:

As someone who plays a fair bit of both characters it was a joy to watch such a masterclass and I will be stealing many many tings from it.

Fun lobbies with Curtis et al last night - the "everyone dress in purple alts" sub-game was entertaining (especially when the colour block on the character select screen lied and the character wasn't wearing purple at all), although I feel like I had a distinct advantage with Juri. :P Also shoutouts to Fei Long and his fine selection of suits.

Also (also) I want a future SF game to have a replay channel that saves everyone's lobby matches to everyone's replay log - it's so easy to miss out on awesome stuff from other people's games. :( Make it happen, next-gen.

I've been playing NFS: Hot Pursuit. It's ace but the much talked about Autolog is empty. I guess because I'm playing it three years too late? I don't even understand how it works. I'm turning into an old man who doesn't understand things. I see now how it happens.

Also I've started Super Marioworld again, this time on the Wii VC. I should probably finish the GBA one now I'm at Bowser's castle.

Back on topic, the new Kore-eda film Like Father, Like Son is ace but very sad. My gf cried three times. Suki in Chinatown does the biggest bowls of ramen I've ever seen. I think that's it for SF news for now. I'm off now to take my son to a dreadful Halloween party.

I was thinking earlier if the 5th character on SFIV Ultra is going to be brand new but has legacy then surely it's going to be Sheng Long? (maybe another clone of Ryu though, Hope not)

At the Capcom Cup Asia Taiwan Qualifiers, Street Fighter producer Yoshinoro Ono, stopped by to announce a game changing Ultra Street Fighter IV system mechanic that would dramatically change the way Street Fighter IV is currently played and perceived. This system mechanic change is in addition to the Red Focus Attacks and Ultra Double Combos previously announced by Capcom.

Ono explains that the developers implemented the change while he wasn’t paying attention during his busy schedule, but will definitely give Ultra Street Fighter IV a very “fresh” feel. Let's do it. I will be there at 12.40 at the latest but hopefully before even that.

Sadly my partner is working this afternoon via remote desktop, so if our playing interferes with how fast she can work - or if how fast she's working interferes with our playing - then we may have to abandon the match until she's done, sorry. I think it should be okay, though.

I abandoned reheating a curry to watch!

Ghost's Honda is winning too much. I wanna see Jellum play! I can see his wee face pokin up in the background, haha!

I played that ProFluke guy in a few casuals in Glasgow and lost 10 - 2. He has a ridiculous El Fuerte. He hit me with a nine hit RSF and also, excellently, a counter-hit EX Quesadilla Bomb FADC EX Guacamole Leg Throw. Amazing.

JLM's team are up now for their first game.

Shame we didn't get to see any Chellum, but at least we saw some purple hoody. I need to be working this afternoon, but I'll gladly keep on skyving if you keep up with the updates... ;)
