Think I'm going to get Volgarr the Viking next, purely on the back of it having a really good trailer on steam that basically just shows the player's character dying repeatedly.

Ooh, I bought this a couple days ago with the 25%-off voucher. It's like a long lost Mega Drive game that's a cross between Ghouls 'n' Ghosts and Dark Souls.

And it's absolutely perfect for the Fightstick.

I got gifted a Volgarr voucher in my inventory a few days ago but I still have lots of other games to get on with. :(

Also is it just me who hopes that alistarr's theory/matchup series ends up being the unofficial

of rllmuk? "Rlling sets" maybe. Or maybe not.

I got beaten thoroughly by just about every human on earth in Ranked yesterday once I'd sorted my connection issues out (it was Photo Stream on the wild mac). I managed to lose every match despite getting three perfects in the two hours I played. Oh man. Gonna practice some safe jump setups with Dan. I have none. That'd make a huge difference. Especially for Cammy and Rose. I hate Cammy and Rose.

I did taunt a lot though.

Lads. I fear m'street fightin' days will be ending soon. For I will be quite wildly moving in with my woman and her 3 other housemates before year end, and there will be one TV (mine) to go around everyone. And they'll probably all sourly use my xbox for netflix and sky, the ungrateful bastards. Also I'm re-addicted to internet poker now, which is so much more salt inducing it's untrue. Anyway, if I do make heggwest then it'll be my last hurrah.

Haggar I gave you a +1 out of sympathy, not to be all "lolz, no more Street Fightin' for you".

I know the pain of a shared living room TV, but only one of my other housemates really ever uses it. It does mean I'm going to be highly embarrassed if I try to play GTA Online with headset. I might just steal it back into my bedroom until Xmas.

Had some excellent, excellent Street Fightering, Guile Vs Dan, with Mr Iggleton-Smthye Terminus yesterday evening. Once he got wise to my obsessive focus antics and eagerness to jump it all got wonderfully tense. At one point he made a mockery of my impatience with three spinning backfists to the face in a row, for the stun, haha. I did get to try out some new safe jumps and option selects though (backdash chasing EX Dan Kicks options select worked once!) as well as trying to switch up to Patient Mode, but it really ain't easy for me.

I always get surprised by that anti-air flash kick > EX Flash Kick too! Brilliant use of anti-air normals. I hadn't realised Guile's st.mk could be so effecting against deliberately short jump-ins. I got some mileage out of instant air lk.dan kicks' tricky arc as well, since it an cleanly beat a flash kick's startup unless you're really early. Ig switched it up and started focusing for a good punish anyway.

Dan's raw jump in light kick beats Flash Kick clean surprisingly often (and Sagat's notorious standing hard kick), though usually for an air-reset that's difficult to follow up. Guile can be abused with close medium punch once you're in his face, especially in the corner. I was desperately trying to land my new Pointless Waste Of Meter combo of Cl.mp x EX Gadouken, cr.mp x EX Gadouken, EX Koryuken. It works on the wide-ohs at least.

No idea what the score tally was in the end but Ig left me a wee wink message so I think he may have won the most, haha!

Joffo, 'twas truly excellent and very, very fun street fighting yesterday, dude. I am slowly learning a bit of the Dan matchup. He's great! Couldn't believe that blocked Dan U1, I countered with U2 that would've won me the match but it went over Dans stupid head and you beat me!

Winky face was just for awesomeness. Set was yours 12-10.

Very much look forward to more fightings.

The amount of matches I've won as Dan due to his odd hurtbox is ridiculous. Especially the post-crumple hurtbox since his upper body quickly doesn't exist and attacks end up being unwanted air resets instead. Attempts at an easy normal x shoryuken punish end up in a hit, an srk whiff and a free ultra counter from he, haha.

The strange hurtbox makes it even stranger that he's the dummy in the combo trials since a lot of post-focus combos are automatically more difficult by a frame or two.
