I think he's gone and got himself a lovely 3DS.

And I got pretty much the most Joffable 3DS going. Because I'm an awful, awful human bean.

All aboard the pokétrain next month! (At least I managed to resist buying Pokemon Black or White 2 to play while I wait for ...Y, I think I'll get Y.

I'm totally picking the water starter and then a charmander. Like 95% of players probably.

The stream dropped from the twitch app for a second and I changed to Dreamhack for a second. I've never watched any of these other things on twitch before, it's Starcraft II and the whole thing looks remarkably slick and civilized and terrifying, like it's the start of a remake of The Running Man.

I briefly mentioned it on Twitter recently but I actually managed to get my own streaming setup working the other day. I didn't really know what I was doing when I was using XSplit so instead I got OBS and registered at Twitch. No fightings recorded just yet but I'll probably try a few more things in the future, at least until the new consoles come along and do all of this video sharing stuff for everyone. :D

That's a beautiful 3DS XL imp! I've never seen it before. Is it for Monster Hunter 4?

And Qaz! Let's stream fighter sometime! Haha. The video sharing stuff on PS4 is one of the things I'm most excited about. I hope the editing tools are simple but versatile enough for making wee edits/adding my droning voice.

Thanks! Yes it is indeed! There's still a part of me that buckles at the wallet when the phrase "limited edition" is uttered, to my shame. And so I got it even though I don't really want to play another monster hunter until they make a sodding HD one. (I hear this one is a bit different though - lots more interactivity with the environment and lots of nice new monster animations. Realistically I will play the tutorial, and get stuck on a mission that doesn't require but would be much nicer with other players, and then leave the game until it comes out in English, at which point I'll force Choo to buy it, try to pick it up again, but have forgotten how to play, and probably feel guilty for making Choo buy it, and we'll go back to playing Street Fighter instead.)

BUT HEY IT HAS PIGS ON THE BACK!

So I guess it's all good.

It'd be fun to try, although I can't imagine what a combination of Xbox Live & Twitch would do to my awful connection. :D

Voice on PS4 clips? It'd just be silent footage of fighting games for me, punctuated with "OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH" when I do something correctly...

Imp with that 3DS XL Bacon double.

Guys, I have resurrected my Steam account. I have Audiosurf and nothing else. I will soon have Hotline Miami and will then have to not sign in again for fear of spending all of my monies. Please add me. My steamonym is Jayelem.

One of my retro gaming pals and I started playing I wanna be the guy last night. It is proving to be as hilarious to play as it was to watch Floe play it. I love it for how tailored it is to people who grew up with 8-bit and 16-bit platformers. It demands that you draw on all of your platforming skills and experience but also uses that knowledge and experience to kill you over and over and over again by feeding you all the usual hints and triggers and then murdering you for following them. So much fun, but I'd only be able to play it in this pass the pad format or I'd end up losing my mind.

I have also ordered Wario Ware: D.I.Y. from Amazon as it has been on my list since it came out and is now only £9.

I have GTAV on the way too. I imagine I'll play it for longer than I did IV, though it'll only have to break the three hour mark to achieve that.

I still haven't finished Bioshock Infinite. I played through about 90% of it in three or four massive chunks as it's breathtakingly beautiful at times and I was gripped by it and couldn't put it down, but I've lost all motivation now and am just doing one checkpoint each time I load it up. I think it's mostly that the combat isn't even a fraction as enjoyable as Halo's, so when I'm faced with a long stretch where it'll just be rooms filled with bad guys I find it a big grind. I'm still into the story and the characters but the gameplay is boring me. I got to one bit where I ran into this horrible scene where a character I care about is having horrible things done to them by a machine, and then my protagonist goes "I need to find a way to shut it down!" and so then my objective is to find and press some switches. So now I'm backtracking through a load of previously explored rooms which have been re-stocked with enemies and it's killing the pace of the game and I'm doing arbitrary video-gamey busy work when it feels like the intensity should be just about at its highest.

Lastly, I played ranked matches with Chun. Won 6, lost 2, PP now down to 3,300. Dang. The 4,000 dream might be an overstretch at this rate. One of the losses was against a Ken where I had 50% life and he had pixels. He knocked me down, walked up and did raw ultra on my wake up, beating wake up EX SBK and killing me. It's my fault for not blocking because I could have taken three throws and still been in charge, but it was still mightily annoying to lose 50% and the entire round for that mistake. I went back into ranked to run it back against him but he was busy saving the replay. Oh the shame. :(

I'd never heard of I Wanna Be The Guy. Looks amaze. Getting that to play tonight as GTA V will not arrive early. Also Jellum, try to finish BioShock. I felt almost exactly as you, the combat was a bit of a slog, but the final hour or so of plot exposition is fucking mindmeltingly awesome. Or so I thought anyway. Was worth dropping it to easy and forcing myself through to that climax, definitely. :)

I love JLM even more now. I watched a bunch of Floe's IWBTG stuff earlier this year and it was amazing stuff; Floe's reactions to the game's trolling attempts were priceless. And then I watched the live playthrough he did of the Evo build of IWBTG Gaiden. I haven't subscribed to his Twitch channel yet but I do check back now and then to see what he's up to. :)Warioware DIY is indeed great fun; it takes a while to finish a game but it's quite easy to get to grips with and very satisfying once you've made something. I have a preorder for GTA V so I'll be trying that tomorrow and avoiding early opinions today. Hopefully.

Er, Street Fighter?

I'm actually totes up for more MH (not-tri-again edition). Everyone should MH!

I managed a post-KO super taunt finish with Dan on ranked the other day guys! So proud to join the club at last :D! My flatmate saw the whole thing but didn't really understand why I was grinning like a mental and rolling around on the floor. Obviously attempting to explain made me seem even more of an unbalanced individual.

Love that Teesports trailer with the beautifully chosen anti-hype moments. It'll be interesting to see the mythical White Daigo in action live. People keep hinting that he'll be at the monthly SFO tournaments but he is yet to show up.
