GGs to Samuel and Illegitimate Cody! Lots of fun around the cast, I got my new flatmate to pick my character a few times, and he seems to understand some of the basics (I got nailed by a lv. 3 focus and he said "how did that hit you when you were blocking?". Smart lad). I actually landed a couple of legit link combos early on, which was nice. Donut's FADC combos were much more lovely though.

Someone's really going to have to explain how to use Focus Attacks to me, really. Even after a year and a half, I just don't get them. It seems like when I use them, even with characters I know have a good one, they're easy as piss for opponents to jump away from, break, or throw, but when other people do it, they're a foolproof way to stop me pressing any buttons at all. It's just not cricket (by which I mean Street Fighter II).

Thx m8. She's my only real character because I get so little time to play. I'm growing her slowly, I like trying to play her a little aggressively because my role model is Mike Ross' Honda, and I understand some of her pressure options. Put me against a grappler though and I'm totally fucked, I don't have the patience. T. Hawk is bottom tier but he's my most hated opponent, whoever I've selected.

Also vs Rufus I will have to try out Soul Piede Soul Piede Soul Piede Soul Piede, that shit is tight :lol:

Excellent.

Did y'all see the rumours floating around suggesting a Pokemon fighting game since Nintendo apparently registered the name "Pokken Fighters" and this little teaser was at the end of a recent franchise trailer. And Pokken sounds a bit like Pokemon Tekken.

Nate was being brilliant. Watching Alastair Rufus up poor Terminals in the corner was heartbreaking. I have literally no idea what Guile can do except guess a flash kick. Nightmare. Donut finished two rounds of a match with Rufus' EX messiah FADC mp.snake strike > Ultra. What a good man.

I had to pop off abruptly to answer a phone and carry a bunch of things up stairs; sorry for the absence!

Ultra SF4 comfirmed for broken ;) :

(...) with this project, we decided to make it a big update, a really 'new SF4' in a way. When I say 'change,' though, I don't mean we're redoing combos or the whole structure as it exists now. What we're looking to do is get rid of the differences in character abilities that have established themselves throughout the series. Me, I'm all for change if it keeps giving me reasons to play. :)

OT, I've cleared Divekick's story mode with all the characters now, so yay. I'm still not sure if CPU S.Kill teleporting himself beside someone mid-kick and KOing himself is intentional, but aside from that it's all good.

I have to land at least one of those when I use Rufus. If I don't I feel like I've failed. It's such a lovely thing.

I'm pretty sure I heard Alistarr apologise for beating me too, which was nice and courteous of him.
