You always miss me out and I even talked about playing against Nate with the Error01 patch, much sadness. You just look down on the bottom tier you do with your fancy fat man :(

I also have the 3DS version too and other people are in the spreadsheet in my sig. Feel free to add yourself :)

Well done Mr Joffo you'll soon baypass my BP :) , I hope you a putting a few cheeky taunts in after some of the knockdowns with your Elf :)

Sorry Plopboy, that's terrible of me. And on your birthday as well. It's either because you're not on my Steam friends list or because we're hardly ever online at the same time, or both, but we should rectify that - especially if it means I get to play some Error1!

And your lovely spreadsheet now allows me to tell people what my 3DS code is even though I can't find the thing: 4940-5415-5389.

For stick fans, the X-Arcade Solo was launched earlier this week and will start shipping in December, with pre-orders being taken for $99.99. The original X-Arcade was a bit of a beast, with a stick and eight buttons at each end, and the Solo does away with the extra stick and buttons. I've no idea what the build is like, but at least it's another option for when your current weapon of choice starts breaking down (and you have $100 to spare...)

Really don't understand that xarcade one. Wouldn't the bottom two buttons constantly get in the way in any kind of street fightery game?

Also, question! Was trying to play some sf with my nephews earlier, and we couldn't join each others games. They've downloaded all the updates, but all we get is "unable to join":( Any advice?

Please help if you can, because at the moment they're playing (shudder) "Doritos crash course".

Doritos Crash Course is brilliant! I never did get the DLC though. I sometimes get the unable to join error. I figured it just happened sometimes due to incompatible connections/strict NAT. What we usually do is have Alistarr host the lobby. Try that, haha.

Also, my most anticipated game of the year, Pikmin 3, has finally arrived. I ordered it last tuesday in the hope I'd get it before release. I didn't even get it on release so I've been sad about it. Anyway now I finally have it so I've eagerly unwrapped it and put on Street Fighter.

So the USA vs Europe 7 on 7 happened off stream at Evo. Arturo has uploaded it:

(See link in Alistarr's post. Taken spoilery embedded video out lest I get negged again.)

Please kindly spoilerise the results as I have managed to avoid so much as a glance at the Youtube comments yet.

I had one of the original dual X-Arcade sticks *years* ago. The sticks are clunky American bat-tops and the buttons have tons of travel on them. If this single-player one is anything like the original dual, don't buy it!

Seven-a-side:

Marq Teddy gat dam. Seeing a good Guy player always makes me think that maybe I could get to grips with him, but trying to play Guy is like trying to fight on stilts. He was the first character I tried to main when Super got released but I just don't think he fits me. Oh well, I will settle for vicarious enjoyment instead.

Are there any Cody players out there that could give me some basics? I'm supposed to abuse his mp, aren't I? That's pretty much what I know which may not even be right.

Jellum was pretty soundly thrashing me with Cody last night so I'm sure he could provide some tips on how to properly fish for damage with that mp.

His hard kick, hark kick ruffian kick and particularly his back+mp are all amazing anti-air. He can also confirm for eternity with his crouching light attacks. I know very little else with him other than to learn to block on your wakeup since most of his options can be beat by low meaty attacks.

My advice is to drop Cody. Down that road lies only frustration and sadness as his wakeup options are so poor.

But yes, MP is the God-button. b.MP for anti-airs. f.MP for pressure and fame taps. f.MP into cr.MP is the standard fame tap, but from the right distances cr.HP is also great and does wonderful damage.

Cody has great block strings, and you can sometimes catch players out by doing a f.HP overhead afterwards to catch them if they're still down-backing.

His standard combo is cr.LP, cr.LP, cr.MPxMK.Ruffian or HP.Criminal upper, but doing cr.LP, cr.LP, cr.LK is even easier.

After a front throw, immediately hold up-forwards and press HK to safe jump on characters without a three-frame reversal.

Don't abuse HA-HAA, and you can often surprise your opponent with it.

Don't use his alternate costumes, they're pretty terrible.

I'd say close standing MP followed by towards + MP or pretty much any other button is the standard fame tap. Close standing MP is +4 on block whereas towards + MP is only +1. Towards + MP is better as the second button as you can link all sorts off it on counter hit.

I've been playing him quite a bit lately so I'll post more stuff shortly.

It's actually his back throw that gives him the automatic safe jump and puts them in a Cody vortex of sorts. It's relly useful because once you've taught them that they have to block the jumping roundhouse you get a nice set of mix ups that opens up from that situation.
