This guy, always agreeing with me.

As a general note, the PC version of AE goes on sale for about a fiver every few months and pretty much all arcade sticks work on PC. And since the game is GFWL all your friends are already on your friends list. Get the PC version- it is what the COOL KIDS are doing. Me, Imp, Choo etc play on there pretty regularly.

What kind of times do you play? I am probably only a few days of unpacking away from finding my laptop...

We play whenever one of us wants to play one of the new games we bought in the steam sale, but one of us is too tired or doesn't have time to play anything "new". (Generally weekends)

Shall we organise another weekend, then? I guess we should probably do this in a separate thread, given how long it took last time. But I too would like to play SF in person again with people some time soon.

I'd love to meet all you guys for a weekend of SF.

:)

Sadistic Felching?

I bet imp is good at DoDonPachi. You should go to that thing, imp.

I'm not actually very good at DDP. I know it's quite well revered, but the final level is apparently my kryptonite. If they were holding a Mushihimesama Futari competition...

I want to go anyway though. Any other London peeps up for it?

Everyone, hold down-back!

Summoned!

No smart ideas I'm afraid, not even a shindig around my place sadly. I can't afford to take much time out of the Street Fighter bookshop at the moment.

I'd try very hard to do that Wednesday evening thing near Hoxton though, if you London lot are going?

I had my first games in over a year last night. I just played some randoms and I was pretty terrible, but I managed to take a few matches. Does anyone want to fuck around some evening and help me get my groove back? I want to be somewhat serviceable again in time for the gamerdisco night.

Count me as a maybe for that GamerDisco night, got loads going on at the moment but would be great to get some local play in, or even just spectate.

Here is a fun video. 1.38 is essentially me on post-pub ranked

It may have been at my end as the next game I had was unplayable and I gave up. I am about a third of the way through Bioshock Infinite guys. I am playing a triple A release. that isn't Halo. I have yet to do a dragon punch but I can throw fireballs. It has survived landing on the unfinished pile to gather dust because it a) didn't open with a twenty minute cutscene followed by a forty minute tutorial section and b) has this wonderful blue skies and sun-drenched shiny things aesthetic that makes it a joy to play for a cynical and jaded Sega child like myself. The latter was my reason for starting it in the first place and it managed to grab me on the first sitting in a way that non-fighting games rarely do these days.

What's good about not buying/playing big new releases any more is that, when one does pique my interest, I am able to borrow it when other people have finished with it and I am able to play it without having already previewed/spoiled it into the ground. I know nothing of what happens in the story and I hadn't seen more than three minutes of gameplay before starting it. Huzzah. I'm going to do the same with The Last of Us once I finish this. Other games, I have missed you. You are not as good as Streetfighter, but that's not your fault and you're doing your best. Let's be pals.
