Would be ace if he was Life MC from Phi Life Cypher but he's probably not.

I'm scared of all the Guile players we now have. I'm terrible against Guile despite what JLM says about Dhalsim having the advantage.

Dhalsim basically just needs to press hp at about 3/4 of the screen and he beats guile for free, I thought, since even if it trades with a boom it's in sim's favour. He's one of the few characters Guile actually needs to rush down.

Oh, I forgot, I did a load of option selects against donut's sim when he kept-a-teleportin', and they all delightfully worked. Poor donut is the only person I ever remember to option select, for some reason.

GGS to Curtis and Qazi tonight, but my internet died just as I was giving Qazi a good old fashioned Daning :(

I would have stayed for more too but it seems by back of beyond internet has given up :(

I did like Qazi's T.Hawk though and there where plenty of shenanigans but I was disappointed that I could find my headset to listen in to the usual banter :(

But twas a good session GGS doods.

Edit: sorry Qazi I only released you wanted a Dan off after I had picked Guy. As I didn't have my headset on :(

Wee Drew is on my friends list; played him a good few times. His Hakan and Abel are excellent and he is a very nice and quiet guy. There's some good videos of him Hakaning people up from that Hypespotting tournament. It's on youtube but all piled in as unmarked videos titles Hypespotting The Whole Thing Part [whatever part]. The AE pools play in part two or three is where I saw a bunch of his matches; I've not caught up with the rest though.

Oh, here's the start of Drew playing Hakan in the Hypespotting pools. The Rose player, Zaus, gets on mic later for commentary and sounds a lot like Alistarr to me. He kinda looks a bit like Alistarr too, in the wee window*.

EDIT: Urgh. That's supposed to link to an hour and two minutes in, but doesn't seem to when embedded. :(

*He doesn't actually look that much like Alistarr. Maybe a wee bit.

That video is excellent. So many counter hits during those normal cancels (or whatever it is that's actually happening). And that double focus crumple into reset on that Vega was fancy.

Oh, am so looking forward to finishing work.

Have a week's holiday starting tomo. Planning on spending week restoring some Transformers and playing lots of SF.

So, am around for some daytime SF tomo. Would really like to practice some new characters too. Anyone around tomo for some practice sessions as well as serious matches?

Back on topic, London now has a Five Guys. I imagine that only Imp, Joffo and myself will be excited by this.

Also, if any of you London himpster sorts want to see me slightly humiliated in public on Friday then you should come to this: http://whirlygigcinema.com/events/making-tracks-11/

I'm going to be appearing in the short film "the anatomy of laughter", in which basically it's just loads of shots of people laughing. I'm not sure what to expect, but it'll be my face in brutal closeup projected onto a large cinema screen so you'll be able to pick out each and every one of my significant visual flaws really really easily. Also at one point in the filming something shot out of my nose, so hopefully they'll use that and you can see it in glorious HD. £8!

Whee, just fought life mcbeast in his lobby. I fell for a couple of his shenanigans in the first round; god he loves to jump in at the start of the round using Sagat, and probably loves doing EX uppercuts during your combos even more. I fought my way back from a pretty hefty life deficit using some decent pressure in the corner and by playing a bit more sensibly, earning me the round though. It was the icing on the cake when he did a wildly stupid wake up ultra 2 when he was down to a sliver of health, just as I was jumping over him in the corner. Second round was just comfortably mine from the start. It was the icing on the cake when he did a wildly stupid wake up ultra 2 at full screen. It didn't help that he rage quit as he died meaning the match is not in my replay history. I'll have to try and capture a match live the next time I fight him. Probably in about six months.

Also where is this Five Guys? I'd be willing to give it a try!
