I am playing stupid Battlefield. We have played one game and it ran for 96 minutes, which is almost as long as it took to patch the PS3 and then the game before we started. We didn't win.

In the interest of offering balanced criticism, I will say that it was the least unenjoyable game of Battlefield I'm ever likely to play.

Like most sport leagues, you play everyone in your division once/twice (probably twice in this case), on a weekly-ish schedule. Player with the most wins at the end of all the matches ends up top of the league.

The nice thing is that even if you're not near the top of the league, you're still competing for position, so the matches against people around you in the league take on more significance.

So true. Michel Roux, Jr is pretty OP, but I'm glad he hasn't been nerfed.

They need to sort out Monica's Death Stare unblockable setup, if she gets you once with that it's basically the round.

I am not entirely sure what popbitch is. I think I always assumed it was an email telling you which Spice Girl wore last seasons mascara.

I played Misters JLM, imp and Qazi at Street Fightin' recently, with guest appearances in ranked from Rotarrius. They all beat me up. :(

Ah, cheers dude. I have never followed any sport, but even so wasn't sure how it all translated to single players.

Had a wild marathon session with ig and alistarr earlier in which NO bullshit characters (bar maybe one button oni vs zangief) were used. It was just solid, brutal, dry, sandy footises and fundamentals as again and again ryu and guile sought to see who could throw the most plasma, guile threw sonic boom after sonic boom into zangief's bearded, gurning face, alistarr repeatdly failed to cancel into machine gun upper and zangief took up entire minutes of everyone's time protecting the Russian skies (doooooon't backdash blad!). Ting's were baited and buttons were pushed. Raggo.

By the end I had trained them both, like pavlovian dogs, to leap into the sky after a gief cl.mp, which for some reason I don't think I ever blizzarded after. ig had utterly failed to train me not to jump, and alistarr had trained me to never pick gief against anyone with a good hk.

I do so prefer playing in the day, when I'm not knacked and can think a bit.
