I've not tried 3 yet, just 2, for about 20 minutes. I'll definitely be playing it more once I'm already bored of my Wii U though, so we can fight it up!

Also, the thread title is going to have to change to Spring Battle opera since JLM and Sith are taking forever. Is the final gonna be live streamed?

ALSO! Can you keep the result secret so I can watch the youtube video of it with all the tension retained?

I have Rival Turf! It's terrible :(

The SNES/SFC is home to so many excellent games. I'd love a copy of Wild Guns. Also, SD The Great Battle IV which is a superb shooty platform affair.

Those TTT2 costumers are amazing.

I think Sith and JLM are engaging in psychological warfare. Arranging the match seems to be some kind of meta game.

Back on topic, I got about 4 hours sleep last night as I started playing the XBLA release of Jet Set Radio and oh my, I completely didn't expect it to still be such a wonderful, sexy beast of a game.

Oh man. I had Tuff E Nuff. It had a character called Beans and the worst PAL box art ever.

Japanese version had one of my favourite fighting game names ever:

Dead Dance.

Just say it to yourself. Dead Dance. How awesome is that?

Japanese version - Dead Dance.

USA version - Tuff E Nuff.

Dismantled. I simply didn't turn up at all. I could blame my awful and battered XB360 pad but I won't. My patience which is probably my biggest assest in this game was just non-existent and when you're playing some one as good as Jason you get punished EVERY time.

I had several life-leads and simply blew them all, my confidence was so low at one-point I even switched to Ryu! I simply don't play this game enough to ever truly test JLM on a consistant basis.

Deserved winner of the tournament by a mile. The randoms afterwards were painful, NOTHING was working on this pad, 3 times I tried EX-Headbutt in the corner and the SPD move came out instead. I've got a new pad coming with the new style D-Pad on so hopefully that will help.

My Edited in request might be lost in the folds of the New Page, so I'll again ask that neither JLM nor Sith tell us the result of their grand final so we can all watch the youtube match in suspense.

Yeah, when you got those EX Ochio throws in the corner with Honda I thought something must be going on with your pad.

GGs man, and thank you for the kind words. You definitely weren't as patient as the first time we played, and if Hawk isn't patient it really hammers home his bad match ups. There were still some long and cagey rounds in there, but in the last set you would have gone into tank mode and closed out those rounds where you had the lead for sure. I think getting the first win helped me a lot as well. I got off to a really shaky start in the last set and it made me play incredibly nervously for the rest of it, whereas this time by game two I was 1-0 up and could remind myself that you needed to win 10 games to take the whole thing, which really takes the pressure off.

I hope you guys do come over for an SFO tournament in Leeds soon. I imagine Infexious and Hutch would clean up, but your Hawk would be more than capable of beating most of the regulars as well.

Sorry Joffles, I honoured the spoiler request but forgot to message Sith about it on XBL. He was already playing that FIFA Intercontinental Kickball at the time you posted it.

Also mad propz to Nate for making the tournament. Let's have another tournament! Could we do 2v2 teams with character lock? Asking four people to show up at once might be asking too much now that I think about it. It would be excellent though, and the one game nature of it would make all the fights even harder to call.

The prize is you get to play SFxT against me again because I am addicted. I've been watching a VF5 tutorial this afternoon but all I can think about is getting beaten by that horrible unkown person yesterday and what I can do to improve without practising or changing characters.

Oh, and my fantasy bracket struggled through to a correctly-picked winner after all :-) I'd like to offer a James Chen-esque "good stuff" to both of you. And everyone really. Let's play this videogame lots together.

Would be great to see the final despite the the result being out there already. Congrats Asura!

I'm hoping to be on for about 30/45 mins from 7.30ish, if anyone's around? The matches I had yesterday were lagtastic but it turns out it was like that for everyone last night for some reason.

Also, Heggwest hopefully will be A Thing. I will try and give more info once I've sorted something out.

Y'knaa, the Darkstalkers challenges are ok but would it be too much trouble to display the inputs during the demonstration? I struggle with working out the timing of most things so I'd love to see how it's meant to be done. This goes for every fighting game ever. Except the ones without tutorials.

Also, congrats and commiserations to Jellum and Siff, in that order.
