Ultra Street Fighter IV

Geldra, I know it's a bit of a trek south but there's a group in middlesbrough that I helped run not so long ago: http://www.facebook.com/groups/teessidefightclub/

As Teesside Uni features plenty of games related courses it became fairly popular! We have the university's dedicated 'games room' (hilarious watching uni reps justify it to parents) and run a reasonable number of tourneys. Some of the guys from Newcastle on Neoempire would make a trip down and join in frequently. I lost contact and haven't been in a while since starting a placement in Gateshead but it must be one of the biggest scenes in the North East. Had no idea Neoempire had died? I never posted there but it seemed to be the main hub for fighting fans who meant srs bsnss.

I'd love to join in and get some games with you at some point but I'm overwhelmed with work, work and driving right now. Keep me posted and good luck! :)

CrossCounter seem obsessed with putting up videos of matches that happened weeks ago preceded by five minute advertorials for things that have nothing to do with fighting games. It's a shame because even latter day shows like gooplays were good fun.

Geegs cale! Some awesome matches with a good variety of characters in there. T. Hawk vs. Makoto was brilliant

Yeah, good fun there, sir. You are terrifying to play against! The term 'just do it' was made for you. Dat Ken was insane. How many fierce DPs did I eat?

There was a new Gooplays uploaded on Saturday, but it was on Streetfighter X Please Reconnect Controller. Stroller! I'm calling it Stroller from now on. Though in all seriousness the Stroller finals at Winter Brawl and the Mike Ross' neighbourhood episode where they played it were both excellent. I do believe it's a legitimately good game now, it's just not as good as AE and not as wonderfully insane as Marvel. Then again, I believe KOFXIII is probably the best of all the current 2D fighters and I don't play that either, so my opinion counts for little

What was your fame tap Alistarr? Also I have started preliminary lab work with new Marvel character X. I now know the commands for all specials and supers, some extremely basic b'n'bs and have the beginnings of some extremely filthy mix ups. Not even close to being ready to use them in a fight, but it's coming along.

I hope it is Deadpool.

Whilst still being ill with Chicken Pokes I've had a few games of Heroes and Heralds which has been fun but not been able to do too much learning as I'm pretty knackwred and sore but I have some of the basics, it does seem a bit more wild than SFxT but for some reason I prefer the cards to gems, they just seem a bit more obvious?

Any way surprise surprise I like Deadpool, very awesome. That Dr Doom chappy, he seems like a nice young man with his hidden missiles and Morrigan (sp?) who I like becuase she has that rather plendid skull fireball.

I like it but it will need a lot of work before I dare go anywhere near online

Edit: I forgot to say I was playing it on my Vita as I've been stuck in bed for a week :(

Nice, thanks Choo, will check the Boro group out.

Does it play Streetfighter?

In the corner I did divekick, st.LK...close st.MP...cr.MK...xx GT. He blocked everything up to and including the cr.MK and then got tornadoed anyway.

I'm going to have to practice Marvel now too, amn't I.

Lol. Happy Birthday Camel! Get anything good? I got the boxed set of Curb Your Enthusiasm, a lego minifigure, a couple of swank Ts and a packet of jelly cherry things. Awesome.

Spookily, when opening the minifig I said "Maybe it will tell my future" and it was like a gypsy with 2 tarot cards.

Happy birthday Jiro and Camel. Are the jelly cherry things those haribo ones? Becuase they are really nice, hmmmm.

I really liked the look of Rolento in the vid JLM posted, really very nice modding skills there.

Edit: too slow with the cherry conundrum.
